In fact, why didn't anyone notice this with their scrying orbs and stop him. Most NPCs ARE more geared than the usual player.

Arthas before he had his his full powers and the lich (kel'thuzad) after he had been raised from dead had freed achimonde through a portal and then achimonde disposed of him and the lich because they were using them and the lich king (ner'zhul ) at the time so they could lead the legion through so this is bc and wotlk but not when arthas had recently killed had pulled out the Runeblade and killed his father and uther read arthas the book and this stuff is in there also beyond the dark portal wa

Sargeras, the Dark Titan, founder and lord of the Burning Legion, convinced Kil'jaeden and Archimonde to join him, but Velen did not knowing that demonic corruption would damn them all. Velen and the Eredar who followed him fled and are now called Draenei, which means "Exiled Ones" in their native language.

@rax7 There was a race known as the eradar, many of them fell to the temptation of demons, those who didnt fled and became known as the "draenei" thats why ther are so many similarities between them. draenei are on alliance cuz they hate orcs, blood elves are on horde bcuz they dislike the alliance

@dlf619 Dranei and Orcs used to be neutral to one another back before orcs became corrupted. Once the Burning Legion infected the orcs with the demon blood thats when they went insane and nearly wiped them out. I don't know if they ever say if the Draenei blame them specifically or if they know they were being controlled, and they just remain cautious against them.

I never really got into W3 when it came out, but I have to admit, it has probably the best story line of any game I've seen. I think its a good thing that there will never be a Warcraft 4. Blizzard have managed to completely ruin its lore through WoW and judging from Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3, they don't have the skill to make a worthy successor to W3.
