  • Holy Crap thats fast!!! the ones i run are super slow compared to this one!

  • Wait ~ 5 years and these will be obsolete and they will have machines that are 10 times faster, more accurate, flexible and energy efficient. It's crazy how fast we come up with new designs for..... just about everything.

  • @yellowmetalcyborg There is no way this machine will be obsolete in 5 years. 20-30year old machines are still in use. They will get faster but there are only so many ways you can increase speed before you hit a physical limitation. That extra speed is going to cost you as well with much larger motors and more expensive tooling.

Brother has been around over 60 years by the way.

  • Brothers are nice machines, especially for the price. very fast and accurate. and actually fairly rigid for 30 taper, these machines will cut stainless. we had four of these at my old shop

  • Is brother competitive in any way with hermle or dmg machines? haven't heard any word of them, but it looks quite impressive.

  • @jetpower06 They also make printers, and they're quite good I must say. I think they're one of those emerging companies you don't know about until the news mentions them.

  • @yellowmetalcyborg

Brother makes printers... well done Captain Obvious...

  • ... I want that toy for my shop!

  • I have ran an exact machine and wow is the only thing I can say.

  • Thats one nasty ATC. Everyone at my shop goes on about how fast the ATC is in the new Kiwa KH-45s we have. They clearly haven't seen this bad boy.. lol. I wonder how well these machines do with other materials besides aluminum (Which this part appears to be).

  • As bad-ass and ass has ever been bad.

  • i would like to hand these tools... probably not from ebay :-)

  • That would take like 10 mins on a Haas or Fadal! LOL! (On a good day!)

  • Very nice, interesting workpiece too!

  • maybe they could get the changes even faster if the changer moved up and down to pre-align it's self with the level the head is working at when the change is called, so the head clears the work piece with one axis and is ready.

  • The first video with the trunion table was much more exciting. That is one bad machine.

  • that is the most incredibly tool change ever

  • Does this have a constant-velocity controller?

  • yea this is whats it's all about ! i've watched this exact machine, literalliy went down to brother last week, i will tell you, it's faster in person :-)

  • Another machine that I never knew existed, have no idea how it was built, etc and stare at in wonder. LOL

  • Great video, I bet the brother can do it faster than this. Next time push the machine
