It's to help him manage larger pieces of garbage by cutting them into smaller pieces. It wasn't shown to disintegrate much anything, just to cut.

Hmm. Maybe I should get this. I love Wall-E and have the movie. Have it in my room at I watch it EVERY night before bedtime. Makes me feel so happy my sleeping problems go away.

I've seen it over 100 times now and it's still as good as ever. Althou the first time I saw it (in the cinema) was the best it's still VERY good.

Would the game sabotage my great feelings about the movie?

Same here. You should really get the game its even better than the movie in my words. It won't change your'e feelings about the movie. I watched it twice at the cinema and then I copied it from the onternet even though it had a bad image and now I have the DVD and the Game. So if they didn't sabotage my feelings about it then theres no problem in getting this xx

@Kittycatcatcat12 Well, you have to consider that it was one year since I put up my comment. I kept my habbit of watching before bedtime so I'm aproaching 500 times I believe.

However it is indeed true that you're probably more addicted to it than I am if you're getting all those additional things.

Wow. I can't believe WALL-E and EVE switch places. That's so, well, a nice change. WALL-E sure does love her.

@301941142 This was made when the movie was in post-production; the movie was going to see EVE getting hurt instead of WALL-E, and WALL-E saving her. After the scene was screened, however, it didn't flow right with the rest of the movie because it kind of stopped the main action, getting the plant to the holo-detector, dead in its tracks. So they switched their roles which really helped the characters' development merge seamlessly into the film's plot, which ended up flowing much more smoothly.

@301941142 If by any chance you find the whole "WALL-E fixing EVE" scenario preferable to how it turned out, you're in luck; the scene was fully animated before it was cut and can was included as a deleted scene. I recommend you see another deleted scene first that shows WALL-E revealing the plant to EVE AFTER they return to the ship, a scene that was also featured in the game. It's pretty cute, but pales in comparison to the other.

@301941142 The scenes are on YouTube, but they have subtitles (the ones I've seen on YouTube).

The one with the plant reveal is called "Dumped." I recommend that be watched first.

The second with this fully animated scene, which is longer, is called "Garbage Airlock."

@VomicaEmanio It sure wouldn't. It has the same charm as the movie and, with just a little more effort put into it, it could have been nominated for a GotY award. Too bad you can still see some of the linear "This is what happened in the movie so we're gonna replicate it in a slightly different and stretched out manner".

@ChickenCooperations Monsters Inc was done in 2001, now they're making a second movie in 2013, so who knows? But the director Andrew Stanton said he does not pretend to do a sequel, but didn't he make Toy Story 2? Maybe?
