  • You know i've got a buddy of mine who runs a similar deck but he doesn't use Jace or Mistmeadow instead he uses Glen Elendra Archmage it's a counterspell and a creature in one, also hallowed burial right wrath of god please instead 4 copies as well replacing that and harm's way

  • what is this yu gi oh

  • Lool that really doesnt look good against combo decks...

Where is Aven riftwatcher? where is riftwing cloudskate? where is momentary blink?

why not more counterspells? only 4 counter spells?

AND WHAT THE FUCK 4 SOT ??? U cant control a creature if the opponent has none (control deck, red deck wins or sth) blinking aven or cloudskate would be the best choice and they cost less the 4 mana so u have enough mana to counter.

  • even if you have protection from red, or even you have a ivory mask on the field, you CAN be the target of banefire if 5 or more mana has been pumped into it

  • @Serraangel9 i disagree. you have no have a target when you play the spell. you aren't countering it, and you aren't preventing the damage, so the secondary effect is irrelevant.

  • Why is wanderwine hub in there?

  • Not drunk however much it might look like it. Also, a migration of comments from here to themagicarena forums would be awesome because I keep on forgetting to check here in addition to the forums and MTGCast.

  • The deck is not too expensive, especially if you have been building your collection through lorwyn block. Also, I don't know why I always look drunk if that is even true. It certainly isn't because I do drink (not that it is inherently bad).

  • jesus, this deck cost like over $9000

  • @Ozzyfish19 this doesnt cost 500 $

  • You cant be targeted with Banefire if you have protection from it.

  • i played u/w lark for months before alara block. once goblin outlander and fallout showed up, i started losing a lot more often. i still love it though. and Faerie Trickery is my secret tech against anything w/ unearth(hellspark, anathamancer) and it stops graveyard targets from cruel.

  • i got a jace in my booster ^^ it was the happiest day of my life because before i flipped it over i said to myslef, can i really hope this is a jace belerin, then...i creamed my pants

  • and then I Jizzed in my pants. do you know the song?

  • like a boss

  • that song is funny, lol.

how do you use your jace?

like which of the three options do you use and in what order?

  • I use the first two most. I have used the mill ability I think once to deck 5CC. Most decks you want plus it then minus it because that will give you an additional turn to defend it by playing Sower or Finks. If you are against a deck where you don't expect it to live for a turn (like red) then use it as a bad 3cc lifegaining cantrip effect.

  • If you hate faeries so much, make an anti faerie side board and splash green for some stuff like stable stag.

  • Splashing for green hurts the mana base, and lark can't get the stag back.

  • Still helps a shit load against faeries, his primary concern.

  • Lark has always had a bad match-up vs fae. Usually you just hope to dodge it in a tournament and hit the other decks in the field. a viable tournament strat.

  • So true. It seems that the only thing that Gavin and I lost to were Fae.

  • Sable Sag Has 2 green in the mana cost. It is not a "splashable card" it's a card you play if green is a main color.

That's like playing a Black/blue deck, then adding 4 shivans and splashing red. Just isn't feasible, smart, or possible.

  • no baneslayer angel? wtf. you've got no bomb to finish things off. you are only piloting smaller creatures and revillark....not good enough. why the winderwine hubs? play the deck that won britain nationals. has more counter and can get T5 baneslayer with the mana acceleration from knight of the white orchid. ur deck is boring and not up to date with current tech.

  • baneslayer is in the board. If you want to play UW Baneslayer than do it. If you want to play UW lark here it is. Just because they are UW doesnt mean they are the same deck.

BTW this deck destroys UW Baneslayer pre board.

  • Elspeth > Baneslayer.

  • Well, it's easy to play someone else's deck. It's sometimes damn hard to make your own, and win with it. Just because most players who run white run Baneslayer, doesn't mean every single white deck has to play it. While it may be good, Baneslayer Angel is way to overrated right now.

  • /Agree

  • Play Safe passage for banefire.

also pedro, are you always drunk?

  • Before you ask someone else if they're drunk, you should probley make sure your suggestion isn't a bad one... read your cards please.

  • If you couldn't tell, the whole thing was one big joke.

  • more!!! more!!!! more!!!

  • The deck looks very playable, but It needs a few tweeks. Having trouble with banefire, run baneslayer (HAhaha, I'm so witty)

and I didnt get to see the mana base so i would tell you to ren the border post if you aren't

  • deck list? 5/5 btw

  • sidebar

  • i run 1 gargoyle castle in my 5cc deck, helps when my creatures r dead or not out.

  • no wrath effects?
