I have a question if any know the answer. I finally watched this movie about a week ago. During the wedding when the actor Tucker was making the speech about how bad a friend he had been and so on.....was the guy sitting at the head table with the bride and groom ( think was one of the couple's brother) was that guy the real tucker max.... It was a small part but it really looked like him.?

I dunno. I liked his book, but every time I see this guy in interview, I find the realness of the stories harder and harder to believe. He doesn't come across as quick-witted and as smart as he does in his stories.

Plus, you kinda have to be a bit of a sociopath to first write a book and then make a movie about yourself. This guy's become a character of himself. In a way I feel sorry for him, especially since this movie has failed so badly.

He seriously should go see a shrink.

like he said the movie is about him around 24, he is 32 in this interview and this video was posted in 2008. Now he must be around 33-34 depending on his birthday. People change alot in 8 to 10 years. I look back at myself just 3 years ago and think about wat a goofy little dude i was and i totally see where Tucker is coming from. I'm not saying i believe everything he says is true is actually fact but either way its a funny story, a good movie and if its fiction then he is a talented writer.

You actually thought the movie was good? I thought it was very lame. Not even close to the Hangover. The actors had really poor timing and lack of delivery. Especially my favorite character SlingBlade just... wasn't funny in the movie.

I disagree. he seems smart and articulate enough, and I would assume he is normally outgoing. When you start drinking those skill sets seem to sharpen (for lack of better word) into a kind of overly outgoing, obnoxious point. At least thats how it is with me. I would argue that this guy is more intelligent and probably more outgoing/socially competent than I am, but I still have stories that come close to rivaling his. (cont. on next post)

Every time you see the real Tucker in an interview, you just see a different person than in the stories or in the movie.
