Does anyone know if this song is about a loss to suicide? I am involved with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and we have these OVERNIGHT walks and at the end of the 18 miles, we light luminaries that look very much like the lanterns in this video. She's also holding white beads/pearls which symbolizes the loss of a child to suicide. It could just be coincidences since the video is black and white. Does anyone know for sure?

I lost my dad when i was 5 years old to suicide and i was raised by my mom. she was just diagnosed with blood cancer and thyroid cancer about a year ago, and I'm in the military now and have been deployed. i just got back home, she is so proud of me, but it is so hard, even with everything i learned from my dad and from being in the military. I am so thankful to the Lord that I have this time to spend with her...and I have to be there and be strong for my younger brothers/sisters.

We lost Amy Sue Jan 24, 2011. I had never heard this song when a friend (thanks Angie Himes) read a note on my Facebook that I wrote to Amy recently. She left this song on my page in memory of Amy. I immediately broke into tears when I heard it. My 10 yr old daughter heard it later that same day, and reposted it on Amy's husband, James' wall. this song reminds me of my grandfathers in a way. on both sides of my family, they are passed away. I know most people think about their ex's: be it boyfriends, fiances, or something like that. Does anyone know if this song is about a loss to suicide? I am involved with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and we have these OVERNIGHT walks and at the end of the 18 miles, we light luminaries that look very much like the lanterns in this video. She's also holding white beads/pearls which symbolizes the loss of a child to suicide. It could just be coincidences since the video is black and white. Does anyone know for sure?

I lost my best friend and my cousin over 7 months ago. When I got the phone call, I literally could not breathe. He had just called me, 3 days before that. He went out like he lived, though, balls out. I still cry over you Dave, every day. Watch over us, because you're our evil little angle up there. Beers up, hoes down, baby.

I found this song a few days after losing my Great-Aunt Joyce, 14th July 2010. I never got to see my aunt much but I miss her a lot as I missed seeing her on her birthday, it would have been the last time I'd have seen her alive.
Even though none of my friends or close family have died recently, I feel for those who have lost family and friends. I don't know what I would do if I lost someone close my sympathy and thoughts are with all of you.

my friend kelly valentine died from a car accident yesterday, and i can't stop listening to this song over, and over again. it really does break my heart to know that i can't talk to her, or see her anymore. she will be missed. it seems like a terrible nightmare i just can't wake up from. she was the sweetest girl, ever. We lost our little girl in a traffic accident when an 18 wheeler hit us head on, she was only 15..This song is so true, we miss her everyday of our lives and love her so much, she is our world, our precious little girl..Her memorial video is on here her name is Mattie Bryant, go view our beautiful baby!!! I lost a good friend 3 years ago and then i lost my grandpa a little over a year ago, this song really describes alot of emotions and etc that i have felt. i love this song, brings tears to my eyes everytime i hear it. Rip Jordan and Rip Grandpa John.

today would have been my grandmas 79th birthday and this song totally fits for today because she got called home to heaven August 6, 2010 and it's been rough since she was in hospice for a week before she died and she was in and out of the hospital for eight months before that so it's been a very hard thing to deal with

If this is how people want to remember their loved ones that are no longer with them that's their business not yours, mine or anyone elses. You wouldn't like it very much if you were the one grieving and someone posted what you posted.

I lost my dad when i was 5 years old to suicide and i was raised by my mom. she was just diagnosed with blood cancer and thyroid cancer about a year ago, and I'm in the military now and have been deployed. i just got back home, she is so proud of me, but it is so hard, even with everything i learned from my dad and from being in the military. I am so thankful to the Lord that I have this time to spend with her...and I have to be there and be strong for my younger brothers/sisters.

I lost my Papaw March 9th 2010 from Lung Cancer and Hemophelia, I lost my Dog April 8th 2011 and his name was Star so this is a really sad song for me to listen too.

@mrsrs2208 Diana...I feel your pain...I lost my mom in March of this year...and this song is so true...people say it gets easier with time...I find it's getting harder! My mom was/is not only my mom, but my counselor, supporter, comforter, my hero, my advisor, my biggest fan and my best friend! We played this song at her services and I sing it to her when I go to her "place" (can't say grave)...this is the worst pain ever! I love you Mom and miss you desperately!

@mrsrs2208 I want to say I know how you feel but I am not sure I can. Death is the worst thing a child can go through with a parent. I lost my grandfather 3 years ago. I felt like I couldn't talk to anyone. I watched this video and my heart finally broke. But you know, she's there. She's listening. She wouldn't want you upset. Just like my grandfather. He wouldn't want me to be upset like this either. I am so sorry for your loss!

i just lost my best friend last Sunday from a head on collision. the 18 yr old who hit her walked away with minor injuries. she was pronounced dead on the spot. i didn't even witness the car crash and now i have nightmares of it. :"( it hurts so badly. this song makes me cry terribly but i know 1 day i will see her. RIP Darlene!!

We lost Amy Sue Jan 24, 2011. I had never heard this song when a friend (thanks Angie Himes) read a note on my Facebook that I wrote to Amy recently. She left this song on my page in memory of Amy. I immediately broke into tears when I heard it. My 10 yr old daughter heard it later that same day, and reposted it on Amy's husband, James' wall. She said this is the perfect song for him to Amy... and I agree. Not a day goes by that we don't shed a tear for Amy, and for James and their sons.

I Lost my favorite aunt to breast cancer on August 31st, 2010... She had 4 kids and one wasn't even a year old... The oldest is around my age,11, and i could never imagine what she feels... We just went to Disney on Febuary 17th,2010. I always call my aunts phone,which is now my cousins, and listen to her voice recorder... My cousin kept it as hers becuse she misses her a ton.. My mom just passed away on Feb 26 2011, and my Grandfather passed on Dec 12 2010. This song breaks my heart because it puts everything I feel into words that I haven't been able to get out. They both died from different kinds of cancer. I'm so sorry for all of you who have lost someone, the pain never really goes away does it?

I got home from basic training and wasnt home all that long and my dad and i got into it, he told me to find a new place to live... I called my best friend cameron, he was always there for his friends no matter what the circumstances were. He said to come stay at his house so i did, the next day on his way home from work he was killed by an oncoming car that crossed the center line. I still think about him every day, he is still my best friend. MISS YOU CAM!

I heard this song on Pandora a little while ago and after hearing it i cried for a good hour. I lost my Nanny(Grandmother) 18 years ago next month, and although I'm now 24 it still kills me that shes gone. She was my best friend. Its hurting now that I'm older because so much is going on and what do I do with all I have to tell her? I graduated from both high school and collage without her, I'm getting married and pregnant. Sometimes time just doesn't heal your pain, it just makes it worse!
