Why dont Jim, Charlie & the managment team get this concert remastered and released on DVD & even better Blu-ray????? other people have asked the same question so come on guys, it would fit in with their current greatest hits tour, and is probably them at their performance, sound & song writing best!! Thank god for Youtube & the web or we would never see gems like this!
Wow! I remember when this was shown on Granada TV late one night in 86. I was dead excited because I was going to see them in concert for the frst of many times only a few days later at Milton Keynes Bowl.
j saw Simple minds 10 day ago in Turin(the 15th gig ,the 1st one in 1984) and U2 yesterday in turin(the 14th gig,the 1st one in 1985)..obviously j Love both band,but Simple minds are undoubtedly a better live band...and this song is a masterpiece!

Lets not forget, SM were bigger than U2. They were filling arenas before U2 really made it! You can't compete with this - different class! I have an idea - we should try to relive this golden age - one big, single stadium event that combines all of SM iconic moments - it would be a sell out guaranteed!! One big event at Wembley or Millenium Stadium - 35 or 40 thousand devoted SM fans going nuts one last magical time - what about it?
loved minds for 25 years..seen them numerous times...last week in sheffield i was dissapointed tho..jims vocals are poor thesedays, he misses out most of the words, he cant hold a tune, the crowd do most of the singing.. this pains me to make this admission but its true...sadly!
Trust me my friend,you aint going to see anything like this.I'm a life-long fan,seen them several times,most recently in Glasgow Dec 09.....and it nearly made me weep seeing the shambolic relic that was once this majestic act stagger through a trully awful show.They were shite

It's a bit like accusing Duke Ellington of plagiarising Mozart because they both played the piano...music is not like football, one band is not "better" than the other, enjoy all their unique talents....BTW Happy30th great downld
sound like U2 cause the producer of sparkle in the rain Steve Lillywhite is u2 's producer of war,and many another u2 albums!anyway j love both bands(j saw 15simple minds gigs and 12 u2 gigs) but j love u2 BECAUSE of Simple Minds..and simple minds are better musicians than u2!
