  • 3:15 Morrison: "No,Ray, play it like THISS!" 3:22 Morisson: "Alright, that sounds cool"

  • my only friend the end

  • this is a great version of this beautiful song but i enjoy the live in vancouver version more

  • This is an early version of "The End" in the Spring of 67' at the "The Matrix"...Only the "FBI has the early classified films" of the Doors at the Whiskey-a Go-Go in 1966 when Jim played an average 1st set followed by an eery 2nd set including "The End". J. Edgar Hoover had some of the greatest early footage of the 1950's and 60's Rock and Roll Groups that he thought were evil and the surviving Groups including the Doors "thought" they were being filmed-They were..!Dan O'Niallain

  • @oldiesbutgoodies67 an "early" version of The End? The first album (on which the classic version appears) was recorded in August '66 and released in January '67. The Matrix shows took place in March '67. I agree a few songs sound different than the album versions. I wondered about their alternate version of "Light My Fire" at the Matrix with Robbie's quiet guitar opening. But it was recorded long after the well-known album version.

  • Pretty cool footage of Krieger in there too. I have never seen this video. Been a long time fan of their music. I first heard of The Doors wayy back in the very early 80'.s. Did not know what to make of them at first, then became a huge fan, and still their music is amazing to me at 44 years old. It is incredible.

  • "Lost in a Roman wilderness of pain" - better than Keats!

  • great song by a great band

  • Awesome version. Love The Doors.

  • love morrison, and the rest of the band..to just let him ramble with beautiful poetry....now thats a musician..someone who can sing there own poetry....bloody amazing!!!!

  • 3:13 just for a second. imagine Jim in a cup and a bowler hat......if you have no clue what Im talking about it wont make any sense but those who do....tht would work (Y)

  • 0:43 MANZARECK PLAYING THE GUITAR?!!!

  • It's been mentioned by some that Jim Morrison made the doors; that anyone could have played behind Jim, and this maybe true, but it still wouldn't be the doors, Manzarick, Kreiger, and Densmore made were equally important to the doors sound, without them there would not be a band that had the same level of music, I believe they all created a beautiful balance of musical comprehension- the doors is not just Jim Morrison.

  • @mechistapcc you are so right. With Rays keyboard sound, robbies flamenco style guitar and johns jazz drumming there was no Doors.. Great musicians all around

  • i love the doors fucking genius and awsome and wayyyyyy ahead of their time ,fucking awsome band!!!!!

  • I love discovering raw footage of The Doors!!

  • I would marry Jim Morrison.

  • Fantastica.....

  • Uhhh.........this isn't 'Feast of Friends'........good,but mis-titled & decieving

  • CLASSICO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i hate to hear all the time morrison and morrison.. that we all hear is THE DOORS not just the morrison

  • Morrison LIVE, ёпрст!

  • this is real important to have! thanks

  • lol yeah i read in Densmores book that Ray played guitar after Robbie and John walked off-stage cos Jim was stinkin drunk haha i would loved to have been there !!

  • seriouslyyy, me too. what a great musician..and great friend for stickin by ya drunkin buddys side..fucking awesome picture

  • The DOORS were original-very creative-one-of-a-kind. They can't be copied- Musically representative - a symbol of the time-era which they were part of!!

  • he came in contact with the Spirit of music

  • At 0:40 it looks like it's Ray on guitar for some reason!?!

  • Father? "Yes son"....

  • he went into the room where his sister lived...then he...paid a visit to his brother then heee...he walked on down the hall!!!yeeea!!!

  • unbeatable man, unbeatable

  • Listen to that sound. They were special, and unrepeatable. Morrison was a shooting star.

  • its the closest to the album version live i've ever heard. they recorded that record at the perfect time for this song.

  • to thank you and all the other children from youtube present and upload video and such does not leave the legendary Doors lost the map because some Atalanti heard

  • awesome.

  • Greatest band of all time.

  • never listened before great great great

  • You have great taste! (ops, sorry. I'm kinda blind. I just read that it was 1967... Well, I was a bit off, huh? Great channel, I intend to listen up.

    Thank you L:D

  • Ican't believe that you found the original tape before they were signed!. This was in 1968, huh?

  • jim the massiya

  • the poem that he inserts is a brief except alluding to his poem Far Arden: Fall down. Strange gods arrive in fast enemy poses. Their shirts are soft marrying cloth and hair together. All along their arms ornaments conceal veins bluer than blood pretending welcome. Soft lizard eyes connect. Their soft drained insect cries erect new fear, where fears reign. The rustling of sex against their skin. The wind withdraws all sound. Stamp your witness on the punished ground
  • i wanna hear the F part !!

  • Second Part!

  • when is this concert ? just after the album was released?

  • wow quite a different version

    i lllllooooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeee it

  • you can feel the majik in the air

  • Amazing song. Great power in the lyrics and backing music. Very deep and almost brings u on a magical journey in your mind with out the use of lsd

  • you cant get deep as LSD will take you , but you should read nietzsche to get some idea of what morrisons trip really is. morrison is fuckign deep, most idiots know that but cant explain why

  • Thank You Osama...

  • for what, donk?

  • its easy to see the extent of his depth, simply read what he has read, drop some acid and his words arent just words anymore...the dictate things we all feel but cant explain

  • did he have brothers sisters

  • one of each

  • yes, one brother, one sister

  • thats nice to know

  • yea, he had a younger sister Ann and a youngest baby brother Andy.

  • @OsamaBinLadenx true, however there s more than only lsd and nietzsche,

not that i am calling you an idiot :-)

  • Yeah, I found out the date is Nov 18th Long live the Lizard King!

  • well was it?

  • I bought the Matrix show on I-tunes. It's great for die hards and collectors but the audio isn't that great. It wasn't remastered from the original tapes and basicly sounds like what your listening to here.

  • morrison was a poet great song great band

  • jes its just great.

  • I love the lighting... But the music is just great

  • wow! great video

  • I heard Ray Manzarick say they were gonna officialy release this whole show with remastered audio and eveything, but they never have. What the F? It would be better than all the shows from 70 they keep putting out that all have basicly the same setlist!

  • Yes you are right soon the show will release remastered, but it isn't the whole show :-(

  • @sweetpetebrown theres a 2 disc cd of the Matrix Tapes if tht eases the wait?
