I saw you first in THE MODE SCUD as a burn victim who held a grudge against the captain. Then as the vampire. Lord I thought the seen where you kiss her on the stairs was the best kiss on TV or screen ever. I never got over it. I still get butterflys. Then you were on Star wars. I am a fan. I Would love to hear from you.
I first saw Richard lynch in Deathsport, but I soon appreciated him even more in Vampire.
He truly made you both hate and admire him in that one role.
He gave his character of Voytek an ambiguity that worked very effectively, and made you hesitate when it came to judging the Vampire, like maybe he didnt ask for his condition, and was in fact'struck dead' by God,as his character suggests.
Richard: what have you done to your hair? Just kidding! It figures, because you too are aging. I enjoyed your cameo in Halloween: terrific! But then again: it is much like you to do an outstanding performance.
Hi Richard. I used to repair your saxophone when I lived in LA. Was working with Oleg thru the 80s. Are you still playing? Living in Pittsburgh now. Would love to hear from you. Jim Germann
It was just called "Vampire". That's where I first "met" him and fell in love with his work. I got a video cassette of it several years ago. I believe it's still available.
Uh...can I borrow it? I promise to rewind before returning it. I'm just kidding. I would like to find a copy though. It may not be as good as I remember it though. I only saw it once in high school.
Just keep checking Ebay and Google. I saw it on tv when it first came out which tells you I'm no teenager. It's not a full length 2 hr. movie. I had a crush on him since that movie. The biggest mistake they made was not making a second one because he escapes, hey he's a Vampire right.
I'm careful with this copy because it's VHS and a library copy but I didn't think I would get a second chance.
Thanks...yeah I've alway like Richard Lynch too as an actor. It's strange that I've never seen it rerun on t.v. since the first time I saw it back in the late 70's.
I really enjoy getting to see Richard Lynch anytime, but it's wonderful to see an interview with him. I'm looking forward to the movie he's talking about in the interview. Thanks!
Very nice to see him as a regular human candidly speaking, not used to seeing him where he's not playing the antagonist. Sounds like he is from NYC or New Jersey, with that accent.
best to you richard love you acting best to you.joe

Absolutely one of the greatest screen villains ever. Such a pity Vampire wasn't picked up for a series.

Great to see a grossly undervalued actor still working strong.

He is the greatest tv bad guy of all time. T.J. Hooker, Starsky & Hutch and Star Trek:TNG rank among his best guest roles.

A Great actor, and a seem-to-be so good guy, too... his legendary kindness is so evident in this interview !
When I was a child, I was always looking for him guest-starring in movies or tv-shows... He was really a very good actor in all what he did.
I'd like to see this movie, Lewisburg, but, I'm afraid we unfortunately won't get it in France... (and Mary Yanuzzi seem to be a real good director)
Mr Lynch, I hope everything is going well for you, as for Mari and the movie

Richard Lynch played the lead in a vampire movie probably in the late 70's. Does anyone remember the title? I would love to get a copy of it.
