I love that she has a good relationship with food. No food is bad or good in her books, it's all just food. As long as you have an active lifestyle Its a good way to be.
i guess you could just use honey instead of the icing sugar and instead of the cookies use rolled oats :P thats what i would do if i wanted a healthier breakfast ... ;p
I think many of us could find far unhealthier food just walking down the processed cereal aisle down the supermarket haha! It's scary watching chefs put sugar in cooking but yet many of us don't think twice about the amount that is in processed breakfast bars, drinks or smoothies. I'd certainly eat this too! Heck - I love it when I don't have to do the cooking :D
Magic Bullet would be OK for mashing up the berries and wet ingredients but only in smaller batches, unless you had two Magic Bullets going at the same time.
@1doedoe and @hyuckhyuckhyuck -- I seem to remember jam making by my parental unit involving either pressing things through a strainer, or using a twirly thing that had a strainer bottom. That might work for the raspberries, since they are a soft fruit, and even for making applesauce from apples (slightly cooked, perhaps). Before that, mincing with a knife and then mushing with a spoon might have been the traditional technique.

" my friend are comming for breakfast..and i am going to prepare a very creamy, bloody-red, rasberry, psychedellic swirl..oozing with sweetness and sourness of dark ripe raspberry, that will surely give them a painful cramp in the morning... the overwhipped cream when combined with sour bloodness of raspberry, will coagulated when digested by the acidic, intestinal gastric juice...a total way to help their mouths water, that will lead to vomiting..."
SO much sugar!!! THis is not fruit anymore...:-))) Four spoons and then the cookies, too...oh gosh... give me the great yoghurt and the raspberries, I don´t need such pseudohealhthy food... but I still love watching Nigella...:-)
Oh man ,Nigella's recipes are not "healthy" like - "there's nothing to eat - healthy" and she says it quite a few times ,but hey ,every thing's healthy with a good lifestyle ..
I love to watch it, but I couldn´t eat this...:-))) Too sweet, really...too much of a good thing...but it is entertaining and she is a very beautiful and sexy adult woman.

@ILUV2SING2005
im not sure how healthy greek yogurt is...its a lot fattier than normal yogurt.
i will go with the fat free one, is still just as creamy, but better for you.
houchi69 2 years ago
@houchi69 It is important to have moderate amount of fat in our diet too. The key to a healthy eating is DO NOT PIG OUT. :)

Is there someway I can replace the blender with something else? Cuz I don't have a functioning blender at home. I only have hands @_@
hyuckhyuckhyuck 3 years ago
do you have a food processer?
1doedoe 3 years ago
Nope :(
hyuckhyuckhyuck 3 years ago
would you be using the frozen berries? Perhaps the bag bashing thing that nigella does to the cookies would work.
1doedoe 3 years ago
I was thinking of that, I'd probably try that and post the results here. :).
Thanks for replying!
hyuckhyuckhyuck 3 years ago
How about one of those magic bullet things. It would make your life sooo much easier to have a blender or food processer. Good Luck

it's hardly Nigella's fault that she is well spoken! Pretentious? What because she pronounces the end of words instead of ignoring them?
