@number1barber Mostly true; hwevr, my cuz was kidnapped fr/ a WalMart prkng lot w/ her own car. She got away by shooting the guy n the right shoulder w/ the gun n the car's glovebox, then hauled ass! Saved her life! There shld b a system to ensure those with guns are sane, safe, humane, w/ an ability to use in emergency situations - as LAST resort! @number1barber i don't know man. you heard of the london shooting? more than a dozen killed in only a matter of minutes in three separate attacks. canadians have the stereotype that the british have, yet canada has had its share of fatal school shootings and work place shootings. two of those shootings took place in 1975 almost 24 years before columbine. those two are the first known CLASS A school shootings, meaning it was a student from the school killing people in school history.

Not everyone who owns a gun uses it to shoot little kids. We should put stricter laws in place for owning weapons and further educate people about the responsibility that comes with it but I don't think having a right to protect yourself and/or your family with a weapon if needed is idiotic. I think if we had stricter gun laws and actually enforced them it'd solve a lot of problems. The problem isn't the weapon itself, the problem is who gets their hands on it. People who don't know the responsibility of owning a weapon has no business near one. End of story.

@cranberry411 whilst i agree somewhat not everyone can get a gun i would have to make enquires and there would always be the possibility of getting robbed instead. i would have to make a bit of a effort to get a gun and by then i may have calmed down. in america there are alot of homes that have guns and therefore if someone looses it there are weapons to hand. you have to be dodgy to get a gun in the uk or know dodgy people. unlike america.

Would you like to explain why it is that when guns are banned in the US, the violent crime rate goes up? Did you know that it is a new phenomenon in the UK that many burglars no longer take a few days to inspect a house before robbing because citizens aren't allowed to defend themselves? Canada has more guns per capita than the US.
