  • ha ha. The engines like, "forget a full size booster, better get a dual diaphragm." You've done a beautiful job my friend. That 10.2 inch deck height is what must of made it hard for the intake to squeeze under the stock hood, huh? My stock pontiac block has a 10.25 inch deck height, but pontiac deads aren't as large as big block heads. The plan is a 600 cuber from butler performance one day. 11 inch deck height and tiger heads which are similar in size to a big block chevy. Ha... I'll need luck

  • for how much money i can buy the same car?

  • one of my favorite cars

  • got that ka chunk ka chunk in it for sure

  • you should wear proper footwear when operating heavy machinery

  • probs uses more fuel on idle than mine does at 7k rpm... sigh. ill get there one day!

  • if I had that car, i dont know what I would do, first change my ants, but Id prolly try n pick up some chicks, n well you know...

  • Hey man what alternator and power steering brackets did you use? I want to put a 572 in a 70 chevelle but I don't want to use serp belts, btw sweet ride!

  • So when are the fatties replacing those little back tires? lol

Nice car and great job on it

  • I would love to own a 69 so bad! I cant find them, then when i do people want about 35-40K i dont money to blow lime that. I have a 55 chevy belair lookin to upgrade to a stationwagon there badass. Nice car

  • i bet that sets off car alarms

  • Oh god man im so jealous my dream car right there i own a 86 camaro chocolate brown with a 327 was a 2.8 v6 ill have to upload a new vid of it Son :D

  • i love me a old skool muscle car. stunning version mate

  • Sweet. and the best part it fits under the stock hood!

  • @burnoutking1971 Yeah, but just barely, with the lowest aircleaner on the market!

  • @TheP51man Nice job, how much was the engine? Were there any surprizes during the install? I have a 67 Chevelle that I would like to install a 572 (if I can sell my Corvette) the car market is terrible seems no one is buying up here in Canada unless you're willing to give the car away for .15 cents on the dollar to build cost.

  • @burnoutking1971 13K for the engine. If you're running a manual transmission, you'll have to buy a flywheel too. You can't use the regular big block flywheel. You can't use regular big block headers either, they have to be made for the 572, the angle of the exhaust ports is different. Get the biggest aluminum radiator that will fit, an Edelbrock high flow water pump, the one that's $300 plus, don't go cheap here. I used a Zoom clutch, and it works great for me. It's a job, but worth it. Enjoy!

  • @TheP51man Thanks, you're right it's best to do the job right so the car is dependable. I did not know about the headers thanks for the heads up on that. I have a 67 Chevelle and was thinking a 572 that car. Edelbrock has a new intake that is supposed to be just as good as the RPM intake except its flatter for hood clearance. Im running a turbo 400 with a 3500 stall, but may have to change it back to something different. 4:11 in the rear.

  • @burnoutking1971 what kind og vette are you trying to sell?

  • @A10thunderbolt231 I have a 1976 Corvette Stingray. I installed the ecklers suspension (street and track kit) I have a bunch of stuff new in box CPP hydra boost brake kit and some other stuff, the market is so terrible here no one is buying, lots for sale but the prices are high, there is a huge difference between what people will pay and the asking prices. Shame, I wish the economy was good again.

  • @burnoutking1971 how much you selling it for?

  • @A10thunderbolt231 Currently accepting offers. The car is on kijiji, if your interested. I would trade the Corvette with all the new in box parts (edelbrock, heads, intake, billet dist, edelbrock carb, hooker headers, roller rockers and a bunch of autometer guages even for 572. I had a few offers so far but they were low, one person offered 3500 another 5000. at those prices I would rather keep the car and customise it or drive it more often and enjoy it. Economy is still bad for selling.

  • @burnoutking1971 ye ai know what you mean i am interested in buying it ive been looking for a new one since mine got stolen and totaled if there is anyway you can send pictures i can send you my email address so just let me know thanks!

  • @burnoutking1971, I saw them online in a parts store in Brantford ON for around $14,500. May be better off getting a 454 core and having it built to 620hp, would be a lot cheaper that's for sure.

  • @DoubleDave80 I agree, a buddy of mine built a 496 that runs on pump gas and has a ton of torque I like it. of course a 572 is sweet for bragging rights but like you said expencive. I'm sold on the 496 soon as I sell my other toy or save the $ I'm building a new engine.

  • @TheP51man any burns on your hood?

  • beautiful car, great engine, all in all great job man one day i want a car like that

  • i called them engines until i started hanging around hardcore promod and dragboat guys that ALL call it a motor. ive never ever called a motor anything other than a motor or an engine. it would just be goofy to call it anything else.................anywhoo, beautiful car with a super bad roller mill right there dude,,,,,,,,,, im going to start calling them a atomized fuel/air cumbustion conversion to rotational force machine. talk about cool

  • ahhhh, the sweet snap, crackle and pop of a v8... gotta love it :)

  • GM 12 bolt posi, 3.73 gears

  • @BBConly That's right, must have been in an earlier posting.

  • what kind of diff?

  • lmfao a 572 and those back tires? Traction = not! Sick car though!

  • thing sounds beast...very nice camaro

  • burn em

  • "i dont know if you can hear her"..... lol i think i probably could hear her from my house if you accidentally sneezed on the gas pedal

  • whoops kick into drive car hits wall camera drops OH @%$#

  • The '69 model is a true dream car.

  • New "ENGINE" not motor. " GENTLE MEN START YOUR ENGINES" not "GENTLE MEN START YOUR MOTORS" Motors are either electrical, vacuum. if it is internal combustion and uses some sort of fuel to ignite the fuel it's an "ENGINE".

  • @surrynet

    mo·tor |ˈmōtər|

    n. a machine, esp. one powered by electricity or internal combustion, that supplies motive power for a vehicle or for some other device with moving parts.

    en·gine |ˈenjən|

    1. n. a machine with moving parts that converts power into motion.

  • @MrGrimR34p3r Look up definition of an ENGINE, an engine is strickly internal combustion

  • @surrynet I just did. That’s what I posted. I Googled it, too. Not one definition says anything about it having to be an internal combustion engine. Steam engines are not internal combustion engines, are they? They are external combustion engines. But they are, nonetheless, engines.

  • @MrGrimR34p3r Google WHAT IS AN ENGINE, on the second WIKIPEDIA click on it. Then scrool down and you will see the definition of an internal combustion engine. The Camaro uses an internal combustion engine, no where did I say steam, jello. fruit loops, corn flakes, captain crunch

  • @surrynet God you’re dumb. The argument was “engine vs. motor” not “internal combustion engine vs. motor.” The term “internal combustion engine” is more specific, but in a general sense, like here, it’s perfectly appropriate to use either the term “motor” or “engine.” Take the term “motorboat,” for example. It uses an engine just like this but yet it’s called a “motorboat” and I don’t think you’ll argue me there. Point is, you can call this car’s engine a motor.

  • @MrGrimR34p3r Hey dumb ass what the fuck are we talking about?, the fucking video is of a CAMARO that runs on GASOLINE, the video isn't about a fucking STEAM ENGINE, god damn are you so fucking IGNORANT. Did you look in WIKIPEDIA , there are several types of engines, while looking on WIKIPEDIA scroll down to INTERNAL ENGINE and read the answer. Like I said I'm talking about the engine in the CAMARO, no other video , no other engine.

  • @surrynet Yes, I know. I’ve proven to you that the ZZ572 in this 1969 Camaro in this video can be referred to as a motor. That simple logic, however, seems to go right over your head. It’s okay. I don’t judge.

  • @MrGrimR34p3r An automotive tech will beg to differ, I don't go by "can be called", I go by automotive standards. And the correct definition of a device that uses Gasoline, Diesel, propane is an "internal combustion engine". Like I said in INDY, NASCAR, TRUCK RACING they say "GENTLE MEN START YOUR ENGINES" for a reason. Go to Nascar, NHRA,IHRA,INDY web sites and you will learn what is in all actuality is the correct term.

  • @surrynet Depends where you’re from, kiddo. I’ve heard motor as often as I’ve heard engine (motor in a more casual sense, usually). That’s enough to make it “correct;” popular usage sets the connotative meaning. Denotatively, I’ve already proven both are correct (internal combustion engine is more specific than engine which is more specific than motor; all correct, though). Argue ’til you’re blue, I along with many others call it a motor and you still won’t be any more right or wrong. Cheers.

  • @MrGrimR34p3r you see the poster just below, "dasspr", he sounds educated in the automotive field, he correctly identified it as an ENGINE. You haven't proved both are correct, an internal combustion engine is different from ANY motor. The internal combustion engine STANDS ALONE. Love to see you at a nascar race and be in the garage and keep saying motor, they will laugh your ass out of the garage, as we will do in our shop. CHEERS TO YOU BYE-BYE

  • Wow! Dream car dream engine right there

  • @dasspr THANKS!

  • You can defiantly hear it. Sounds good man.....Flowmasters are tough to beat. I bet that thing will hunt the other end now!

  • @Jumpedtime.....It's a complete flowmaster 3" exhuast system for a '68 Camaro. The reason I ordered it for a '68, instead of a '69 is because the '69 were straight tail pipe design, and the '68 dumped down and behind the rear wheels. This system sounds better than the straight tail pipes.

  • is the 620 or 720 package?

  • 620

  • @TheP51man how is it to the gallon daily driven on the city and highway approx.?

  • very nice car and must be one fun time driving

  • @harley101010101 Lots of fun, Thanks

  • that is a freakin tight fit but nice!

  • Beautiful.

  • Amazing car, and god damn that is an amazing combination. 572 can't be beat.

  • can you fit a 572 in the 2010 camaros?

  • I've never seen one done, my guess would be that there's not enough room. I have seen some new Camaros with 700+ horse power though. I would just beef up the factory motor on the new Camaro.

  • excuse me I need to change my pants.

  • That's the way a 69 Camaro should be done. Stock appearing, nasty drive train. Bigblock stick. Perfect. What tranny is that? And if its not too much to ask, can you put up a serious burnout video with the new engine? You might like some of my videos, btw.

  • The tranny is a Muncie M22. If I did a serious burnout, these tires would spin until they popped, and I figure I would only move 1 or 2 car lengths. And for all you power brakers out there, that would be, without using the brakes. I can be in 3rd gear cruising, and if I stand on it, she will go sideways without using the clutch or brakes. For the record, if I were to put slicks on this car, I would have to get a stronger tranny and rear end.

  • @TheP51man I run a 69 Camaro with a 540 BBC that puts out 930hp on Radial TA's. I do burnouts all the time. Your tires will easily last more than one burn out. Besides, you obviously have some dough, Radial TA's are relatively cheap, and exploding tires make a great video. Go for it!

  • @540merlin I saw your videos, very nice burn outs. I'm just too lasy to clean out all that rubber from my wheel wells. I'll keep looking for some new ones from you though!

  • Thanks!

  • @TheP51man So, I understand an oil pan change, header change and what else for installation in an X66 Camaro? I assume a bigger aluminum radiator would probably also be necessary? I plan on doing this to my RS/SS 396 4-spd car too. Thanks for any info!

  • You have to buy a different flywheel. Do some trimming to the frame stands and change a bolt on the pwr steering gear box. Also use solid engine mounts. Get a good and big high flow aluminum radiator. You'll also have to get a very small pwr brake booster, and say good by to your factory wiper motor. They make an after market shorty wiper motor, but I didn't buy it cause I can hardly keep it on the road when it's dry. Needless to say I don't take it out if there's any chance of rain. Good luck.

  • dude im so glad you kept the inside stock no racing seats no racing gauges just stock thats cool man and i love the engine u killin them

  • God I love you dude! Thank you for not putting an automatic in that beast!!

  • No way, stick shift only! You will also never see a small block video from me. These 572's were designed to be able to be used behind an automatic, if they wouldn't have done that, they'd sound even nastier. Thanks for the comment!

  • @TheP51man Haha RATS only!

  • @DANIAC262 Yeah, no mouse motors for me. Keep checking back, I got a new project I'm working on.

  • BEAST!!!!

  • Thats a real motor mother fucker!

  • if ya dont mind me askin, about how much does a 572 motor cost

  • The motor alone is 13200 plus shipping. Then, depending on what you're installing it in, there's more cost's. The oil pan that comes on it, can only be used in a truck. If you have a stick shift, you have to buy a flywheel for an internally balanced motor, then there's the headers. The 572 crate motor is a tall deck, so even if you had a 502 or a 540 in your car before, the headers wont work. The angle of the exhaust ports are different, and they are about a half inch higher. There's more!

  • @TheP51man thanks, nice ride by the way

  • sweet 69 camaro
