  • any problems with trouble codes and/or not passing inspection? regrdless with OEM or magnaflow cats after the dyno tune?

  • where did u get the hot rod cams and how much were they

  • Okay then. That's what I thought. I'll drop my rpm back to 725 :) Sounds like it's the actual cam gear rocking back and forth. I've been reading and guess this sound is normal lol. Thanks man. Sounds good.

  • With the idle that low do you hear any chatter inside the car while your foot is off the clutch in neutral?

  • @2strokerider Yeah, there was some chatter, the lower you make the Idle RPM the more chatter you will get.

  • They are Flowmaster American Thunder (05-09 GT)

I perfer the way they sound with a Catted X. If you are going with NO CATS i would recomened an H pipe or else they Flows get very raspy.

  • would you recommend x or h pipes? o/r or catted? and are those the flowmaster 40s american thunder series?

  • what cam's should i use for my 06 Gt with an Edelbrock supercharger?

  • @GMurphSC06GT - not the FRPP cams. You could get grinds that are optimized for Blowers, check out Comp Cams.

  • Damn that sounds awesome. I might have to do that with my Stang. What is the oil pressure at that RPM?

  • I was actually at about 900-1100 rpm, after adjusting the SCT it works great thanks for the info

  • Who tuned your car? I have a Breenspeed tune and it idles at around 800... I may have to idle it down manually on the throttle body to get that lope

  • Tuned by NY shop called RealSpeed (Dan Carlson), made 302 hp/ 300 tq w CAi, Delete plates on a Mustang Dyno. Dan left the idle stock but changed it to the lowest setting that the SCT allows and it sounds fantastic. The down side your clutch will chatter at idle deopending on the angle of the road, so...

  • @RedMoses442 congrats on selling it. what a sweet sound this is

  • DON'T mess with your throttle body!!! All that's going to do is get the calibration out of whack. These newer TB are electronically controlled so idle settings is done in the tune only.

If you want to lower the idle, go to the optional parameters selection in your SCT and lower the idle there. I have a Brenspeed tune for my Hot Rod cams and that's what I did until I got them to lower the idle in the tune.

  • @stop2go41 if you retune your car with your SCT tuner from brenspeed , when you put the tune on it, go into the options and select idle rpm you would like. I did it with mine (around 700 rpm) and it smoothed the car out a little but you can choose what ever idle you like.

  • I have a 3.31 rear from the factory, the HotRod cams dont like them very much, 3.73's should be perfect for you gdahl.

  • I have hot rod cams and 3.31 gears and it's just fine. Honestly it feels exactly like it did before cams when taking off. It's all in the tune.

Although, I'll be putting 4.10's in anyway. ;)

  • some day I hope to have a set of hot rods too. What rearend rations do you run? I have 3.73 in my stang and I don't know if I should go with 4.10's

  • yeah i hear 410 is the best for n/a power

  • 4.10's. You won't take a MPG hit going to 4.10 from 3.73 and it won't be much louder. You really wont notice it. But the performance difference will be big. Although 4.10's + a supercharger would be ZERO traction with street tires. ;)

    Don't fear the gear! :)

  • u hear him eating the benzin

  • Sounds awesome Mo....Congrats.
