  • In answer to the questions. The landing area was not great, so I opted for the "crumpled leg's approach" to keep them safe, plus protecting my ribs & arms. Further along the beach, there is a very steep grassy slope to climb up. I would say its 180 to 200ft vertical, so no freefall.

  • Nope, the landing did not hurt.On terrain like that, you do not even attempt to stand it up. You need to protect your ankles by doing a PLF.
