@jmfdizog its stock i take it and i'm sure it's been babied my 250r was nothing close to stock and from revving so much around a motox track i kept going threw top end after top end had that problem with the banshee's also but my friends 88 Shee still runs like a top and it's only had the top end replaced once with another stock one i can't leave machines alone always making them faster some how and unfortunately it's expensive with new parts and replacements every 3 months
@streetpunk83 If by stock you mean nothing done internally to the engine, then yes. Only modifications I have done are: FMF Fatty pipe, FMF PowerCore silencer, V-Force reed valve, UNI filter. I also swapped the 21" rear tires for 20" rear, Works rear shock and Elka front shocks, and it has nerf bars of course. I've had it 9 months, probabty put 35hrs on it, no idea how much or how hard it was ridden before I bought it.

Yes i do race and i am a lighter competitor so i see your point in rider setup, the ltrs do corner well and, but i afraid thats the only good thing about them, I will say my YFZ does tend to bog in cornners but thats the only major problem I have.
I don't like the carb setup on my 2009 YFZ450. In fact, I don't like that stupid carb at all. That's why I'm thinking about swapping to EFI. No I'm not about to sell it and buy a YFZ450R... I wanna do it myself. LOL, but yes, otherwise, it's the best bike all around for me. The DS is cool, just, god, so butt ugly and the throttle feels laggy. And again, butt ugly. top three for me are KTM, Yamaha, Suzuki.

Wrong. the ltr has the best suspension out of all the stock 450's besides the yfz450. and the fuel injection mapping for the ltr450r is very consistent and no lag. perfect throttle response just like the kfx450r.
Are you riding the same Ltr that i got rid of to get my yfz? yes it has power, but no the EFI is the worst EFI i have ever been on..the new YFZ have a better fuel delivery system. No the suspension is rock hard, it is forgiving in over jumps, but in nothing else.
If you race then you know for a fact that the suspension is very adequate for its purpose. no one wants to bottom out. and the 09 ltr's EFI is dialed in. i can understand why your talking about suspension being hard though. different riders obviously have a different setup and want to be comfortable on their quad. i like the ltr. they do have transmission problems though. especially focusing on the gears. they tend to shred. but suzuki covers that in the warranty so no worries.

I ride a mild built yfz 450 and from riding all last summer here in oregon I was only able to race 2 ds 450's they are fast but they catch me. My friend has a ds 450x with the pink wire cut and a slip on with air box eliminator kit and I walk him up south and on the flats at the coast.

I ride a mild built yfz 450 and from riding all last summer here in oregon I was only able to race 2 ds 450's they are fast but they catch me. My friend has a ds 450x with the pink wire cut and a slip on with air box eliminator kit and I walk him up south and on the flats at the coast.
