@mouldymat there's so much stuff that's gotta be loaded by your pc, but imo you shouldn't get that big fps drops, maybe if you got full AA and max settings... try turning AA off, you should be able to run it on max settings if you just turn that off ;) I have a similar pc setup except I have a 9800GTX, so I have to play on medium settings... and I still get huge fps drops and lock ups... crazy :P

A game with this much potential should not be totally destroyed. A big problem was a lot of people never heard about the game. I didn't. I would have given the game a big shot if I would have heard about it in time.

The problem was they announced it was going to be F2P then changed their tune a month before release. This was the shortest lived MMO in history to date, only being online for 79 days. Personally I think it brings up legal and or ethicial questions in video games. Is it ok for a company to sell a video game and then pull the plug on it making it unplayable three months later? Would it be ok for a car maker to make your car undrivable a year later because they didn't profit enough?

The worst part is they didn't care about their product from the very start hence its offline 79 days later. Look at how hard age of conan failed and its still online with expansions because suck game or not, funcom is in the business of making games and not ripping ppl off. APB was tantamount of a scam and it doesen't suprise me since EA has their name on it. EA is in the business of turning the least amount of entertainment into the most amount of money, they always have been.

There is a subscription in this game you can either pay for 20 hours if you don't play very often or pay for a month which costs 10$ which is cheaper then WoW and most MMOs, it isnt out for Xbox 360 or PS3 just for PC and its not going to be just random people killing everybody you can only kill people if you're on a mission or someone called for back up and in theory you can play for free because if sell custom Clothes,Cars or Music you can make RTW points with which you can buy extra game time

@superzezimo When you buy the game you have 50 hours of action districts and unlimited time in the social district, after your 50 hours of action districts runs out you are gonna need to pay a monthly fee. For server upkeep and staff but if you're creative and make good symbols, cars etc and sell it for RTW points and then you can basicly play for free
