It's the successor of warlords.

Warlords didn't add that mutch, some espionage and some scenario's i never played.

BtS really adds to the game (wich the guy talks about), and makes some good balance changes. I sometimes play vanilla but never played warlords when i got my hands on BtS.

Mind though, from 1:34 he talks about a mod, i never seen it and i spent 100's of hours with civ BtS :D.

Graphics are a minor discrepancy in running Civ at high performance, the mere amount of variables is the factor of demand.

By the endgame there are literally tens of millions of variables and functions working each turn.

its huge because of the scale, each unit represents a battalion, squad, legion etc. and see the size of the cities? you wouldnt be able to see the units. and its far better than age of empires due to the depth of gameplay. AoE is still a good game though, but i prefer age of mythology,

go to My Computer from the Start Menu and doube click the DVD rom drive while the DVD is in it. should have "Civ 4" or something on it. if it doesn't even show up, try in someone else's comp; works on there's, your DVD drive is messed up. doesn't, bad DVD..

Oh yeah totally. Crusader was more real time strategy and Civilization is turn-based. Crusaders never really advanced in time though (technically it did, but the technology would remain the same) while you could go from catapults and such to tanks and spaceships in civilization.

By far the best Civilization game, especially the expansions that helped to round out space domination and add classes that were misses from the original release.

What's better about it than previous versions? A smoother and cleaner interface that doesn't give you the feeling you're micromanaging too much. I could do without Spock's constant technology remarks though. I turn that off immediately upon playing a game... love the introduction music however!

Civ 4's diplomacy is far more limited than Civ 3's, it feels forced on you and the AI cheats, that's unacceptable for a strategy game. NOT WORTH BUYING! This commercial also disinforms about the expansion pack as well.
