  • whats an oyster card?

  • hahhaha

  • TfL seemed to have cottoned to what people are doing with these cards. I peeled apart an Oyster card last night to find that the ariel is no longer compose of a loop of wire, but consists of some kind of printed circuit embedded in the fabric of the card itself. You can still remove the chip but it's surely no good without an ariel is it?

  • I took one apart today (19th of January 2009) and it was as shown with the chip and an aerial. It does look like its embedded but you just need to soak it longer.

  • @ Bramleyhousemedia : That is getting the standard. Cards are much cheaper to produce that way.

  • here in belgium they started using messaging system,so you just message to a number and u have a ticket like that..

  • oh yeah, the ones they embed in your hand track your every movement, what you buy, your health status. everything. you should watch zeitgeist.

  • hmm

in japan we have a card like this, and the mobile phone companys try to charge you to sue this feature in a phone.

nice idea, try putting it under you phone bettery or something

  • lol nice all u see is the rfid chip :)

would be cool to get one of these embedded in your hand so your not fumbling trying to find the card :D

  • MARK OF TEH BEAST

  • Exactly..

  • To what end?
