This is an important story, but hardly untold, I've been reading about it for most of my life, it's one of the incidents that inspired the civil rights movement. Activists who marched and integrated segregated spaces in the 60's grew up with this story. I guess if you haven't picked up a history book you may not know about it.

A child beaten, mutilated, and murdered because of the colour of his skin. Because he was just being a normal little boy. To actually say they are making a big thing out of "an ordinary crime in Mississippi" is beyond appalling. This is the prime example of how low humans can go. What a strong and powerful woman she is.
