The Human Torch didn't come out until the sixties, and this part is set in 1943, but yet Sam knows it's not Human Torch???? Hahahaha, time setting issues. :D

@Venator2015 ok here's a Marvel history lesson. The Human Torch we know of today is the FF's Human Torch. But back in the 40's Cap, Namor the Sub-Mariner, and the Original Human torch were part of a supergroup known as the Invaders. Cap ended up frozen& Sub-Mariner i guess ages alot slower than we do. The Human Torch (who was actually an android) "died" while fightin a villain, and was buried for years under the earth. The body was later recovered by Ultron and became the hero called The Vision.

@TechnoEstate Well, it's hard to tell, but he apparently meant to cut off Cap's hand when he jerked the Skull's arm at the last second, putting it in the path of the knife. Which might be equally stupid, just in a different way.
