Planetolusola you are indeed the true son of oduduwa. may the Lord bless your entire household. Pls in support of pastorisaac611, I will be delighted, if you can help us upload Wale Glorious. You are highly favoured. Many thanks.
God bless planetolusola for this wonderful loading of Dele Ojo. Can u please load "Wale Glorious" the contemporary of Dele Ojo, Akosile in those days. Mind you I am from the same region like them!
My Grandfather would call me as a toddler to dance to this song. We lived in a remote African village then. We didn't get to enjoy this music to the full watts on our bush radio then.
This was almost 50 years ago. You don't expect much technologically.
God Bless you planetolusola for posting this song. It reminds me of my grandfather and grandmother who have long gone. God Bless.
@Outreachat: I vaguely remember hearing the first track of this record. But hearing it now, it sounds so different. I could have sworn he has done two versions of this recording.
I have a seven inch single which my mum brought, which was released in the early 1960s. I think you might remember it. The B side is called Bosikana??(Please correct my spelling)
At long long last. All you have to do is put a face behind the music and what do you get. Wallah! It has taken thirty five years, but now we know. @Tawe2006: Dele Ojo is stell around. In 2004 he did a come back tour. He was born in 1938.
Thanks for posting this video. Brings back wonderful memories. I like the Oja most as it is sung in my local dialect Akure (Ekiti), Kare Dele Ojo oni a san o. I wonder if he is still around. An update would be appreciated.
@WordPlace: The first number is no less than 42 years old, I tell you. I remember forming a "band" with childmates and singing it around 1967 or '68. In any case Dele Ojo was out of Nigeria soon after, and did not return until 1979; then the face of juju-highlife had completely changed. He had an album out in 1980 which rates only next to Monday John's Eyin te nri je as a superior work; but he could no longer fit into the milieu dominated by Sunny and Obey then. Would be nice to see it posted.
This is nice

Those who continue making Yorubaland unhabitable are not taken a day off. It is sad to think our best was in the past.
