Hey guys. I'm battling from schizophrenia. I'm not asking for money or views or anything, but just for support and for people to hear me out. My psychiatrist said to let people know about your problem, but everyone thinks I'm weird and my family cannot understand or take me seriously. He was the only one there that tried 2 be truthful and upfront... This man earned his degrees, he was truly compassionate

Please go to Yahoo and type in the phrase "Horrible Truth About Psychiatric Drugs" into their search to find a report that reveals the truth about theee drugs that no psychiatrist will tell you. Also do the search with the phrase "Documented Proof Psychiatric Drugs Shorten Lifespan". Be sure to include the quotes to narrow the search so you find the intended research paper on these drugs/ The drugs promote suicide and violence not prevent, cause impotence, no libido and make you fat disphoric.

Nobody gets well inside mental hospitals,plenty commit suicide because the environment they are forced to adapt into is so negative..its hell..they dont give a crap about your emotions,needs..they threat you  like a guinea pig and when you decide you`ve had enough they try to force you to cooperate by justicific manners(a judge decides you must take your meds,stay for another 6 months etc..such a waste of young life if you ask me..

Ha,ha..my friend went on wellbutrin and began hallucinating. My doctor keeps insisting that I need anti-depressants, he won't believe me when I tell him "I'm NOT depressed!!" One thing about pot, it is a natural plant, although highly cultivated and made stronger, it is still "natural" made by mother earth herself...but, like you..music is my drug of choice!!! this song kicks a** doesn't it!!!

Who ever said it, you're right about not telling others other than those in family. You can't hide it from them really they'll find out sooner or later. But others, no way. I've told others about other things, but this time it's different. Has anyone taken Abilify? Is this a new medication or has it been around for a while? I've noticed it hasn't been approved for things.

I have it and decided not to take it till I get a another EKG or checkup.

I was told a few weeks ago I have schizophrenia and I can't even spell it yet. I've tried just about all antidepressants. But noting for schizophrenia. I question if I have it. You know when things are real right? Or when they're not? If anyone has schizophrenia, I'd like to somehting. I have feelings of ice or cold on my face,sometimes burning in places. Does that sound like schizophrenia? If so how? Or why would it?

I looked it up last night though, other symptoms fit.

Interesting. Just about every medication has it's side effects. Most antidepressants heighten anxiety, which tends to factor into suicide. That's why an antidepressant and an anti-anxiety combo can be helpful. Meds aren't for everyone, but if I weren't taking mine now, I'm quite sure I'd be dead.

I always found it really ironic that taking paxil & other anti-depressants seems to increase the suicide rate among teenagers. Sad, but true.

I refuse to take any of that crap even though depression runs in my family. I'll stick to my natural and holistic remedies if I ever get it.

yes sad but true...I'm in the predicament of the same. I stopped taking zoloft and wellbutrin for a year now.

the fact that doctors are so eager to prescribe these drugs, even to children, should be a 'red flag' to folks....but docs are listn' 2 the establishment...not their patients

My dad's on anti-depressants right now as well. He has to see a psychiatric pharmacist to make sure that all of his depression meds don't interact with all the meds he's taking for Parkinson's Disease and other ailments.

Severe depression runs in his family -- a few of his family members have committed suicide because it's gotten so bad.

I'd rather deal with depression and such as holistically as possible through proper exercise and supplements.

Did you know the New Zealand author Jannet Frame had over 200 electric shock treetments for Schizophrenia? She was in a hospital for eight years. Later it was determinded she never had it. Now it is said she had a high functioning form of autism. My sister had Schizophrenia.
