It causes an immense amount of wear and tear, you are dropping the clutch at very high RPM's so it wears the clutch out quickly, but if the idea is to get from point A to B in the least amount of time possible this is the way to do it

ty for very much for youtr reply,but in terms of seconds wat am i really shaving?lets say my b18c is running 14.5 in the 1/4 mile shifting normally,can i really expect a major drop if i power shift?another thing is double clutching in first helpful?thanks

it wont shave ur time to a second faster but it will shave ur time to point of a second faster and that worth alot in drag racing

powershifting is for a manual gearbox, you shift gears without a clutch
