WELL DONE! But I have 2 questions for you. Can it be done with other materials than fibre glass and can you make it taller so the flame lasts longer. Great video, i love going camping with my five year old son and i will definetely make a few. Thanks for sharing ;)
just a tip: the pot stand is completely unnecessary if you add jet holes farther down the can in addition to the ones you already poked. i just boiled 16oz of water with mine with no stand
I found that by NOT sanding the can, it uses the paint on the can as a glue to seal it after the first use. Also, place a penny over the fill hole after it gets burning good; this pressurizes the stove and will last a LOT longer. If the pressure builds up too much, then it will push the penny out of the way. I get 50-60 minutes out of 35ml of fuel by doing this.
i have tryied to make 5 of your stoves and they dont work!!! but u did good on yours..... i will have u make one for me and ship it to me and ill pay you!!!!!!!
@AzNFudgeman Difficult? Ha, ha, I can make one with a Leatherman in about 20 minutes! You don't have to use the insulation, and it is better to not sand the cans.
Dude. Just made it. It works great. Used cotton balls instead of fiberglass. " had no fiberglass " used alcohol to test it and it works !!! It gives of alot of heat too. Great video !!!
great job. I've seen other vids of people making the same thing, except they were using drills and other tools. lol. gee if I had to go through that trouble I would just buy a portable stove. BUT this is easy to make and good sound directions. Thanks for sharing

I used fiberglass insulatation in my stove and it worked perfectly.
Trapper100 1 month ago
Why do you need to add the fiberglass? Mine seems to work without it.
LarryDickman1 2 months ago
@LarryDickman1 He just used it as a sponge to soak up the alcohol. makes it easier to move around and not spill it. At least that's why i think.
Indy121 2 months ago 6
@LarryDickman1 The fiberglass keeps the fuel from spilling all over the place in case of an accidental drop.
