That has to be the worst theme song I've ever heard. It sounds like something you'd hear in the elevator while traveling to the floor in the hospital!
sorry, didn't know someone already answered the question I answered...oops...I think losing Hodge and all that didn't survive to the final season is what killed the show...it was called Nurses, but it was hardly about them, it was mostly about Anderson and her trying to run the hospital or whatever
the first 2 seasons of this show are my favorite of any other show i like. i liked the addition of jack trenton in the 2nd season. he always called paco a mop jockey and the hospital a bacteria barn.
I found out the reason Stephanie Hodge left was because after the original writers were forced out, the new producers didn't like her negative attitude over the changes in the show. So they wrote her character to be so much more hostile, than witty and she says that's why she left.
This version of the theme song is good, but I feel that getting rid of the lyrics was a mistake. In some ways, this music seems like it belongs with a drama instead of a comedy.
she said in an interview she did not like''the direction they were taking her character''. they had changed her from being a sarcastic but likable character to a hateful and mean one.
In addition, the people behind this show were also planning to scrap about 2 or 3 characters from this show to make room for Loni Anderson (horribly, IMO) and Stephanie Hodge along with Markus Flanagan were the victims of the directional change, w/ Hodge receiving the worst of the axing.
If Stephanie Hodge and Loni Anderson had been on the show at the same time, their characters would have gotten into a lot of arguments, which could have been really funny!
Thanks for the info, and personally, I did not care for the Loni Anderson Season, it might've worked on WKRP, but in this case, the writers should've been axed by Susan Harris, but I don't blame Susan though.
and also, this show was on when American Gladiators, RAW Toonage, The Little Mermaid, Living Single, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Full House, Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, Blossom, California Dreams and Ghostwriter were all on the air and this show debut with the popular NBC Drama Sisters.
