This is an interesting, informative, and enjoyable video. How do you think the game has progressed with regards to skiing and air control? Nice music.
@darkpiece Well gee, that term sure has become wide reaching since the last time i read a popular music magazine. I pity you if you didn't catch the theme of the vid.
@acolyterush I only just recently understood the theme behind the songs after 2 months of this being uploaded. Of course I didn't ponder on it, but both songs have a strong theme of remembering the past and some-what looking on them as being nostalgic pieces in their life that they wish they could re-live, this correlates with Tribes and QuakeWorld in my eyes.
Also I love how people consider Indie music to be "emo". Pathetic stereotypical behavior on darkpieces' end.
Although i'm sure you had to use the hack to get this video I think it actually did HRez some good. You make skiing look good. Its shows both the importance of terrain use as well as how smooth and quick it can be even in Med armor. Good job.
That's the T:V bug...it was pretty common which shows that they probably took all the ski code from T:V. That's really funny. Smooth stuff, but in comparison to T1 it looks like youre skiing in molasses as well as not being able to catch anywhere near the same the amount of air.
@m000c0w All the really dramatic changes of direction are done at a low speed, you can't really turn like that if you're moving at a decent pace, the faster turns like back to front through the base on Crossfire require the use of the terrain. Same goes for the carving, the little showcase at the start is only applicable at that very low speed. There also seems to be some sort of control bug at the moment that randomly turns you into a brick, but i can't seem to reproduce it consistantly.
Dude how did you change to Light Armor? :O
