depends on the game i think. some games i notice a HUGE difference between no AA and 8xAA. but take prototype, i don't notice anything between 2 and 4x AA and i don't notice a thing in crysis between 4xaa and 16xaa.

Nobody gets high FPS on Conan. because of shoddy programming it only uses around 30% of what your gfx card can deliver. So no matter what you buy, youre screwed.

I get 19-25 fps in the place where they are showing the video. Now.. if I load Warcraft on my second monitor and play that at the same time, Conan STILL runs at 19-25 fps. So its not using my computer to the max.. not nearly.

You're wrong. The game runs like total shit even on good hardware...I can set things on the minimums and get nearly the same FPS as I do when it's maxed out. Antialiasing doesn't slow the game down at all...you know why? Because the rendering engine blows ass.

The 8800 series cards are well over twice as fast as the 8400. 7800 is a lot faster than the 8400.

That doesn't look like 1920x1200 that's for sure. Resolution tends to have a HUGE impact on FPS, especially when you get up into the 1680+ resolutions.
