  • dude! therealtechjunkie! I've never seen a flashlight so small and powerful. I'm looking for a powerful flashlight I can carry on my keychain. would it be possible for us to discuss a transaction?

  • @LXXIII sure. email me privately at techjunkie at iname dot com. I actually have one like this that I'd like to sell (the TF host in this video died of stripped tailcap threads, the UF one for sale is better). You'll have to get your own IMR16340 battery and charger, but I can show you where.

  • Really nice torchs you have. I have a plastic ever-ready that i sometimes have to smack on the back end of it to get it to work, and with the dollar store(DG) battreys it has a brown tint to the beam.i'am thinking about upgrading to another type, any tips?

  • LOL!

If that's actually a serious comment, then in all seriousness, I recommend getting a Maglite LED 2 D cell sized torch. They have serial numbers etched on the side of them. Get a new one with a serial that begins with "DL". Feed it real alkaline batteries, not dollar store batteries and it will last you forever.

  • i was thinking about dropping almost $150 on a Jetbeam M1X, but after seeing your video, i'm curious how much doing a swap like yours would be? I'm a complete amateur also, so how difficult is the process? Thanks dude!

  • spritsword83, it's a fun hobby, but pretty difficult if you've never done anything like it before. soldering skills are a must and precision is paramount to success. Also, the materials can be costly if you don't intend to spread the cost over many projects.

  • Right on man. I think i'll go ahead and just buy the JetBeam M1X! I currently have a Nitecore EZAA for EDC, and a Fenix TK-10 for general use. The M1X would complete the line-up as a super-high-output searchlight for when I go night time fishing out on the coast or camping down at Big Bend. Thanks anyway man, keep the videos coming! :)

    thanks!

Yo lo he cambiado.

  • ok thanks for all!

  • I said Trustfire, but that middle torch on my wife's keychain was an Ultrafire A1. Six of one, half a dozen of the other, I know...

The camera phone REALLY doesn't do justice to how bright this torch is, especially outside, but you should be able to get the idea of the difference between the two anyway. The MC-E driven by the safe chemistry LiMn IMR battery is about 4x the output of the XR-E driven by the conventional (explosive) Lithium Cobalt battery.
