I want an mp3 player to play music, not to go on the internet or play games, that's what my phone is for if I ever want to do those things, not that I mobile game at all really. I-pod touch is touch screen, that is not productive when I only listen to it while I'm walking somewhere, having to take it out of my pocket just to change the volume/track is wasteful. That's why when I needed a bigger hard drive mp3 player I bought the 30gb Zune to replace my 8gb Nano.

Thats not really true. Zune 4, 8, 16, 80 & 120 are superior to ipod nano and classic. Zune HD is an excellent alternative to iPod touch, and will eventually be an equallly great model, once the app store begins to grow, and is already a better peice of hardware. Also, although zune doesnt make phones, phones like the palm pre, the HTC touch series, and blackberry models are great competitors of the iPhone and are just as worthy of buying. So, Basically you have no idea what youre talking about.

I have had 4 ipods, they all repeatedly froze and needed replacement after 4/5 months. I bought a creative zen and have had it for a year with NO problems what so ever. Maybe I will try a zune next :)
