he is raw power...in order to wield a two handed sword with one hand you must be incredably strong and it is no where near easy which makes him lack speed in his attacks, but each attack has a kill chance since they are so strong

They took out Roy because he's not that popular in Nintendo, they put him in Melee to advertise Fire Emblem. They replacwd him with Ike because Ike has been in the latest Fire Emblem games spread WORLDWIDE. Ike is pretty popular. Lol you idiot you thought it was the 1 hit KO thing. Might as well take out ever single character because of final smashes. X[)

I think that Ike is replacing Marth and Roy. The two weren't even supposed to be in the American version of SSBM but they were kept on it due to time restraints. I honestly don't care if they come back or not, because Ike is seems like he can easily replace the two.

Well even if Marth and Roy dissappear I'm happy with Ike since I actually got to see him in a Fire Emblem game unlike Marth and Roy, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is the game I got to see Ike in for the first time (but Im not saying thats his first appearance because I'm not into Fire Emblem like that). Ike isn't exactly Link but he isn't exactly lame, Ike is in a different category, one where he requires more than one title...

No, Ike will replace both of them. Why would he just replace one, I preferred Marth over Roy anyway. Replacing both is a much easier decision to make IMO, and room for another char in his stead.

ok it's good but there is some fault... Ikes B attack is eruption! (that is a charge up one) and his up B move is Aither (can't spell it) and his side moves haven't been shown yet. Also no one knows if he will be a mystery charater I mean no oone here owns the game ¬¬
