Thank you so much for taking the time to post your videos. I play bass in a Jazzmenco Trio with 6 time Grammy Nominated Will Clipman on percussion and NAMMY award winner Gabriel Ayala on guitar. These videos have been pivotal in taking my playing to the next level. Cheers from an American Indian
Nice one Marlowe. These type of runs can be hard on the wrist.I think the key is to play them slow for a few minutes, take a few minutes rest when you start feeling discomfort, then increase the tempo just a few beats per minute, and repeat.
Haha, awesome dude. It's been a long time that i'm watching your videos, and i'm still amazed you never repeat yourself in what you're doing. Fantastic.
@ozdobby ONE of the best?? no single player has given so much to so many bass players around the world. DK, if there was a bass players hall of fame you would be heading toward it.
@ozdobby Not JUST on Youtube,It burns my ass when a bassist like this is'nt well known like some of the Bozo's we are forced to listen to in music of any genre,I have a friend whom plays on a semi-famous level but unknown to the masses who is really one of the best bass players I have ever heard period in my 20 plus years in music and he struggles week to week, while root-fifth and slap happy skids run rampet on the radio, this guy here is a great musician.
hey man, i don´t have a Fender i actually have a warwick rockbass but i bought a Line 6 Bass Floor POD and emulate more or less the same sound.... :D or, u can buy a Fender too :D
Rock music killed me with regards to playing creativity. Newbies, follow Marlowedk's lead and watch how fast you will grow as a musician.
