wow...! you nailed it!! that's the best, most versatile rig I've ever seen! i'm sorry, i don't know much about rigging in Blender... a little too attached to Max, of which I am slowly trying to break away from since rigging like this seems to be impossible. What's the general idea of rigging like this? and in Blender?

Forget about DVDs! Make a book! And make it available to buy in the Kindle store with limited freely downloadable companion CD content. For example you can explain how to build Sintel's rig from scratch. I have downloaded Man Candy and Kio Miku to analyze how they're made and I got a little from it, but if you want to build it yourself you need another kind of knowledge. In the end I bought Body Language: Advanced 3D Character Rigging which is Maya specific and I'm having a nightmare doing...

@ScaroDj ...things in Maya 7 PLE and then trying to find out how to do it in Blender. If I had the 4~5K USD to buy a Maya license I would rather pay you to get a book on Blender rigging published.
