  • You know...you can NOT NOT NOT Steal ALL, nor manipulate ALL, nor deathblow ALL, nor sense ALL, so that tells me your selling them. But for what? There is nothing to buy. ALSO, Mr. Man...you are WAAYYY OFF on your math. You only made 87,000. That again, is 87 THOUSAND, not 8.7 million. For you to make 8.7 million here you'd have to spend 16.67 HOURS not ten minutes, come-on. Check your math. Now, help me. I need to get the HUGE materia I missed from the train from bone village, how to dig it?

  • You can steal all, morph all, and other such things. You need a materia called "mega all" for that. You need to check your math. From all this, I get 200 million gil in about an hour. I've timed it so I know. I even have the full video as an entire loop. You get 1.4 million gil for every mastered all. All needs 35,000 AP to master so that's a 40:1 gil:AP ratio. Get 250 AP and you get 10,000 gil, in a sense. Put 13 all materia on double growth slots and that's 260,000 gil.

  • Wat kind of move did you make cloud do on the first battle and how did u get it?

  • @dee99311 deathblow, it's a command materia (yellow) you can buy it in materia stores and find the first one in Gongaga

  • Hey, im a huge fan of FFVII myself...and ive done alot naturally...sorry if im mistaken or at a loss of information...but the Weapon you have cloud using, is that an early obtainable weapon? it doesnt look too familiar...

  • @SporkMyFood it's name is 'apocalypse' I believe, not sure though

  • @SporkMyFood its name is apocalypse like xordhacker said, and this weapon is obtainable in the ancient forest, you need to defeat the ultimate weapon or a green chocobo to get there! ^^

  • @SporkMyFood That weapon is found within the forest after killing Ultimate weapon, or getting a gold chocobo. Can't remember the forest's name but it's out by Cosmo Canyon

  • i cant record my PS2 with my HD PVR, what do you use?

  • PVR? What's that? You need a TV tuner in order to record gameplay.

  • @ulillillia a HD PVR records andthing in HD but it has to have 5 scart leads, and my ps2 only has three. I'll search for a TV Tuner, Thanks.

  • @Rossl3000 do you have av cables or component??

  • I can't use the W-Item glitch on the PSN version D:

  • @n00bz00rd I can. and even all the tricks with it on youtube except ones that you need to open the disc tray.

  • @n00bz00rd Don't change the controls. Everything that you can do on the original Playstation version you can do on the PSN version. I had it on my PSP and could do it and now I have FF7 on my PS3 and can still do it. Keep trying dude, it's not that hard.

  • how do you get so many all materias?

  • Easy - obtain the 35,000 AP it takes to reach the fifth level and you get a new one. Equip the new one, replacing the old mastered one and repeat to your heart's desire. It's FF7's fastest way to get gil, and the fastest way to get gil in any FF game that I've played. You can also buy "all" materia from Fort Condor, but you'll need to be most of the way through disk 2 before you can. There's otherwise 5 or 6 alls present scattered around.

  • @ulillillia Nice, thanks

  • I hear Master Toneberry's attack counter towards a person is how many enemies that character killed, x10.If you killed like... 1000 enemies, it's 9999. I think if you killed more than a certain amount of enemies, then it would be a damage counter break for that character. To tell how many times you killed an enemy with that character, I wouldn't know unless you literally counted how many times you killed that enemy the entire game...

  • man why do you use the controls so fast...

  • When you do it often enough, inputing commands comes fast naturally. This occurs with every game I play that requires frequent button pressing and menu navigation. I never use memory cursor either and I'm faster without memory cursor than I am with it.

  • @ulillillia that was a criticism

  • I hate the things knife atk. Dumb tonberry.

  • In your description you say you're not sure how everyone's grudge works... It deals 10 dmg X the amoung of enemies that character has killed.

And I only recently had an Allemange use L3 flare on me. I didn't see how much damage it did, but you don't want all your members levels being in multiples of 3.

  • If I recall, it's around 7000 damage. I've been hit by it many times. Just keep a close eye on your HP and be sure to have HP pluses to raise HP to the max and you shouldn't have any problems. Master Tonberry is easier than it seems - just cast stop on it until it hits then pound away.

  • Master Tonberry's Everyone's Grudge assigns damage to a character based on that character's kill-count times 10.

  • If you bother to max all your materia spending 100+hrs Master Tonberry isn't a threat. But normally its one of the most dangerous enemies (him and that Scissors enemy).

  • What's so dangerous about the "scissors" enemy? Master Tonberry is easy... if you cast stop on it to prevent its instant death counterattack.

  • @ulillillia

Well the scissors enemy can attack you for 15HP and kill you, no acessory can prevent it either. If you've never run into him your lucky. and when I get to the northern crater I dont have Time Materia equipped. Im a trooper!

  • If I recall, I have run into scissors several times, but they've otherwise not caused trouble at all for me. They just seem like any other enemy like those headhunters and spirals around Mideel.

  • Where are you?

  • @batman3181996 northern crater

  • You find the slash all materia in the ancient forest and to get there you need to have the mountain chocobo or have killed the ultimate weapon the the materia is found in the 2nd area of the forest. Hope that helps

  • what's that strange forest-thingy in the start of the vid.? never seen this before... :S

  • How do u get to that cave?

  • Easy: reach disk 3 and you'll start there. It's the final area.

  • L3 Flare if im not wrong u need poison the mob to make it use L3 Flare i learn this the hard way 1 hour grind and just 1 mistake and all is gone....

  • you should play ff13 lol and tell me how to farm gil in that:D

  • the silkis greens strategy should also work to breed good chocobos turn your initial 10,000 gill investment into millions of gil

  • Bah the fastest way to get infinite gill is using the W-Item Glitch 1- manipulate an easy enemy 2- kill all other enemies with remaining charaters 3- use W-Item and select Silkis Greens & select again as secon item then cancel once, then select, then cancel and repeat untill 99 are obtained 4- sell 97 greens to any store and repeat

  • With the right materia setup in the forest around Mideel nets over a million gil per minute, much faster. Use Cid's Javelin (5 double growth slots), Cloud's apocalypse (3 triple growth slots) and the one for Yuffie with 4 double growth slots and have armor that's all 4 double growth slots and load it with nothing but "all materia". It's like 51 slots. 1 AP with this setup is essentially 2040 gil (due to the 40:1 gil:AP ratio of mastered alls) and 260 AP average means 530,400 gil per battle.

  • how to Slash-All ???

  • Get either "mega all" or "slash all" materia and you'll have it.

  • where is this?

  • Can you still do this when your at the point where you have to go to the norther cave to finish off sephiroth?

  • Once you descend into the area where you have the high-quality "waterfalls" in the background, you cannot get back. Before this, you can do whatever. For the fastest gil on disk 1, use the sea worm near the sixth leveling ground. On disk 2, once you get the Highwind, the forest around Mideel is the best place. On disk 3, the place in this video is the best though you'll either need the W-item glitch or plenty of elixirs.

  • The highest I have reached is 156million, I was thinking of reacinhin 999,999,999

(1 Thousand Million) but I thought there was no point.

  • Much beyond about 5 million is pointless unless you're after the amazement of a long number or setting self records.

  • umm everybody grudge = number of monsters character has killed x 10

so if cloud has killed 695 monsters this would make him take 6950 damage.

so lets make "k" the number amount of monster killed

    (k x 10) = damage.

  • any way to make 30,000 gil for the gold saucer im in the gold saucer area going around in circles ... 17.801 gil to go ....

  • Storywise, you'll only need just the 3000 gil ticket to get through that part of the story. If you have the Highwind, you can start raising chocobos and it's then that the 30,000 gil ticket is worth it. Before this, and once you have the Tiny Bronco, then the area around Mideel is the best (though a bit challenging if you're below level 30). Mastering "all", "exit", or "seal" materia will get you gil like crazy.

  • Kill Jokers around that area outside Corel, they usually drop good amounts of gil if I remember correct, at least if you're in that part of the game.

  • you would be correct on that i have past the area i have all 4 aireths limit breaks it will be sad to see her go... i basically waited till i had to go to the gold saucer again i had 30,000 +

  • you said you didnt know how everyone's grudge is calculated. i heard that it's damage depends on how many enemies you have killed, meaning if you have killed 30000 enemies, it'll do 30000 damage.

  • That's right, it just does not go above 9999, but in the theory of it doing damage from how ever many monsters you killed that would be right.

  • woah how did yu get the character's HP so high mine goes only up2 lyk.. 6000 and all their levels are over 95

  • Try using HP plus materia. This increases the max HP to up to 9999. I'd love to have 30,000+ in this game and it's easily doable with enough HP plus materia, but unfortunately, the limit is capped at 9999.

  • its a good technique but i think the small cactuar island(not seen on map)gets you about 10,000gil a battle but exp and ap is horrible just 1ap and 1 exp(gee that stinks)so your technique seems better for all round

  • If you have the Tiny Bronco, the sea worm near Mideel (200 AP each meaning a constant 200,000 gil per battle) is the best place. If you have the Highwind and are not on disk 3 yet, the forest around Mideel is the best place, averaging 260 AP per battle (for 260,000 gil). If you're on disk 3, the place the video covers is the best, averaging about 300 to 700 AP per battle (I'd need testing for this to narrow down that range, since I don't have any data to use (what enemies are encountered).

  • What's the reasoning behind obtaining this much gil? By this point I've bought everything, is there something else I can use the gil for besides "Throw"? lol

  • Setting self records is one, raising chocobos and experimenting with this is another, and buying 99 of everything is another.

  • Where do i get the w-items materia thing?

  • At the very end of disk 2, you'll see an area within Midgar where tracks split. Keep heading south (press down) and at the end of the long pathway, you'll find the W-item materia. If you missed it and are on disk 3, you'll have to use Bone Village, which can take quite a while.

  • The "Everybody's Grudge" attack does damage based on the number of enemies you've killed, hence the name.

  • The name didn't hint to that for me. Then again, it could be that I don't know what "grudge" means.

  • "Hard feelings" would have been a bit long :p and there's no reason to dumb down the vocabulary in this game (although Cid and Barret swear far too often :p )

  • Help me plz (ANYONE)... I just got to the magic pots area and i've put a save point on the place where your team split up. I can't get back there now ? Because If i don't , what's the point of training there if i can't get back to highwind to defeat emerald weapon ?? Thanks for your time.

  • I wonder why there are a lot of comments like this.... Simply back track to the entrance of the Northern Cave and enter the cave near the very start. Climb the cliff ahead (there's a hidden climbable area) and you'll soon be able to board the Highwind again.

  • Omg ! Thank you very much =) !

  • what do you need so much gil for tho? what important expensive items or materia can you buy?

  • I was after setting my record, which stands at what you see in my "176 km/h chocobo" video - 1.4 billion and change. I'm after seeing what happens when you get to 2.147 billion (which is about the limit of a 32-bit signed integer).

  • What place is this and when do I go here? Is it part of the main quest?

  • When the path splits in 2 in the Northern Cave, you are given the choice between using the left path and the right path. Choose the left path and you'll find an area with the green "water" (lifestream). Here, you'll encounter magic pots (give them elixirs to be able to defeat them (the W-item glitch will give you an infinite supply of elixirs)), movers (rare), master tonberries (cast stop on them before attacking), and the pair involving "Christopher" and a horse (I forgot its name).

  • where do i shop/what do i steal from/morph to get wizzard bracelets?

  • Will this work for the PS3 bought version 'cause I wasn't able to find the game itself anywhere. Nice video.

  • I can't answer with any reasonable certainty, but, if the PS3 version is the same as the PS1 version, it should.

  • How do you get out of that area? I have gotten all the way to right before the final Jenova fight, and now i cannot get out...

  • If you've passed the point where you jump down the crater to get Sephiroth, where you see the green "waterfalls" in high quality, it's impossible to get out without starting a new game. If you've placed the save point before this point and within the crater, then you can get out at any time - back track to the spiraling section you start in and enter the cave. You'll be taken to a ledge that contains an unmarked ladder - climb it to return to the airship.

  • where is this on the map

  • It's the new place you visit during disk 3, the final "dungeon".

  • how do you get that chest?

  • What chest are you referring to?

  • its at the conor of the screen when you walk around

  • He's at the very top of the map, It's called north crater. This is were you fight sephiroth.

  • why u do so fast ? i cant see nothing of your moves -_-'

  • contain materia? never heard of it. were did you find it?

  • It's in Mideel. You can get it at any time you have access to Mideel. You won't find it in a shop though.

  • It's cool that your doing this. "All" materia sells like hell

  • dude where are you

  • why do you use an elixir on the magic pots?

  • If you attack them without using an elixir on them, you'll always do 0 damage and they'll steal from you.

  • Magic pots are the best pay off!

  • ... especially when coupled with the W-item glitch.

  • woah, where is that!

  • When the path splits in the final area, take the left path.

  • have u ever reach 7777 hp? when u do that, the char hits for 7777 the other xD

  • I can get it almost at will and I use this to defeat Emerald Weapon in under 4 minutes (with a video showing this to prove it).

  • At this point in the game there's no need for alot of gil..What's the point??

  • 1.3 billion was my current record at the time. I was after breaking this, and with the uncertainty of the digits following, I needed at least 1.4 billion to ensure I had a record. You'll see this in my chocobo racing video.

  • Yeah that was an easter egg called lucky 7's its pretty sweet

  • i have encounter the magic pot but i dont got any elixir so I am kinda stuck can someone plz help me?

  • Steal it from Tonberry or morph the dino-like enemy that you steal carob nuts from. Use W-item to get an infinite supply of elixirs.

  • I know what's the max Gil limit now.

If you don't know yet and you wanna know say so, won't say it now because you might want to find out yourself.

  • It's either 2,147,483,647 (signed 32-bit integer) or 4,294,967,295 (unsigned 32-bit integer).

  • Hi, what's the name of this area or how can I get to it?

I know it's in the northern cavern, I stumbled across it once but now I cannot find it :|

    Thanks

  • There is no name. When you split the party where the path splits in 2, take the left path.

  • Thanks, I found out today just an hour or so after I commented.

    :)

  • If you missed W-Item and don't feel like digging it up in Bone Village, you can also get Elixirs by stealing from Master Tonberry and Gighee, which show up in the same area as Magic Pots and Movers.

  • Does the Javelin has triple growth aswell?

  • No, but it does have 5 slots of double growth (I consider it as 10 credits - put nothing but alls in it and you get 400 gil for every AP you get (making the magic pot worth 400,000 gil each, plus whatever gil they drop)). The apocalypse (found in Ancient Forest), is 3 slots of triple growth (counted as 9 credits - 360 gil per AP). You can see where I get this extreme gil from.... At most, you could probably get 6 or 7 million's worth in a single battle (with the movers).

  • sorry 2 ask this but how do you get the contain materia and how do you get 2 that cave this is my first time i played this

  • I'll give you a hint for starters: Mideel.

  • you get 90000 gil each fight you encounter the "movers";P

  • With my materia setup, it's more like 2.4 million, far, far more than any enemy drops, even with gil plus materia. The 2400 AP they give becomes 96,000 gil in just a single all on a normal growth piece of equipment.... Have 9 alls on double growth equipment and 3 on triple growth and you're really asking for it.... Instead of 96,000 gil, it's 27 times that, becoming nearly 2.6 million. Each magic pot becomes a million gil. A single battle in the forest near Mideel is 250,000 gi!!

  • oh wow! thanks! thats some gil!!:D

  • I dunno if I'm right but aren't you stuck when you enter the North Crater? Is there a way to actually return to the Highwind?

  • You're not stuck. You can get back out. There's a cave at the very top - enter it then climb the hidden, unmarked ladder/cliff up to the Highwind. You'll be forced to have to reform your party every time you do this (which is annoying). Once you get into the area with the green falls and realistic-looking scene, you cannot return at all.

  • There's a way out and I didn't know for eight friggin years!? *beats a random guy up*

    Thanks anyway :)

  • LOL yes your can always come back.

its the best place to max what u want.

  • Can you explain the ratio's to me. Like what "Put the alls on a double-growth weapon or armor and this increases to an 80:1 ratio" means? My characters are level 45-50 and I've only maxed out one materia and never had more than 100,000 gil

  • The 40:1 ratio comes from the fact that all takes 35,000 AP to master, and yet, it sells for 1.4 million gil. You get 40 gil for every 1 AP gained. The 80:1 and 120:1 come from the fact AP is doubled or tripled due to the weapon/armor used. Magic plus has a 28:1 ratio, the second highest. The highest available in shops is 23 1/3:1, from exit materia. There's plenty of materia with a 20+:1 ratio that you could buy (transform and mystify are, I think, some).

  • tonberrys "everyone's grudge" depends on how many enemies you killed during a game with certain character :)

  • How do you get Deathblow to hit all?

I tried using a mastered DB with an all but it won't work.

    Tell me please?

  • Deathblow uses critical hits to deal damage, but apparently with twice the odds than normal. To guarantee it to work, raise your luck stat... a lot. I have a video on how to max the luck stat (speed included) at 255, the point where deathblow always works. It'll only miss when enemies themselves are hard to hit with any physical attack. To target multiple enemies, just use mega-all.

  • I think I might regret asking this but... How exactly does having the W Item materia give you infinite elixirs? Is there a count around glitch when you use 1 elixir that's in your inventory 2 times with the W Item materia or something?

  • It's the infamous W-Item glitch. Works out as so: pick one item to use & use it on a char, pick the second item then cancel out, pick the second item then cancel out, etc. Step 4, profit.

  • If you're looking for gil, mastering "all" materia is your best way. With my setup, I get 1000 gil for every AP I get, in a sense. The 2400 AP given from the 3 movers is 2.4 million gil's worth, in a sense.

  • Oh hey cool. Never thought it was that simple. = )

  • I can tell you didn't read the video description....

  • I did, this is what it says.

"For an infinite supply of elixirs, you'll need the

W-item materia, found far to the south of the train tracks during the Midgar raid in disk 2 (or treasure-finding in Bone Village, which can take a long time and cost a bunch (If you follow my "junk materia" approach, the 500 gil per attempt is hardly a dent.)."

That wasn't as helpful as Pumas reply telling you how the W-Item glitch works, as that isn't in the description.

  • Good technique, only thing is, on 7 I can't recall any moment you actually need a vast amount of gil

  • When you're after setting your own records, it's worth it. 1.3 billion was my previous record, but now I have over 1.4 billion (see the chocobo video for proof).

  • I don't disbelieve you, I just find it pretty pointless, especially something like this, becuase it's basicly an infinite process, unless ff7's got a max gil limit, you could be earning gil on the game for the rest of your life.

  • I'm actually after this limit. It's almost certainly either 2,147,483,647 or 4,294,967,295. This is after a 32-bit integer, signed then unsigned. If I can pass that of the first one, then it's unsigned. If I can, oddly, pass that of the second one, then the limit is so high, in the quintillions, that I'm not going to live long enough to reach. It's extremely unlikely that a 64-bit integer is used for this.

  • I don't know man....

I think you should spend your time mastering guitar, hanging out with friends, or something

I agree it's kind of pointless

Least of all you should do something like level up a WOW account and sell it for 30 grand on ebay. That's still a life waster, but atleast you'll be making real money

  • It would be faster to use a gameshark.

  • I don't have a Gameshark for the PS1. I used to, but I have no idea what happened to it.

  • where is this any way?

  • It's the final area - take the left path when the path splits in 2.

  • Christopher and his companion are so bizarre :S

  • Just a warning everyone. It takes about a good 24 hrs of game play to get a gold chocobo.

  • Uh, I could do it in 6 hours. I did this case in about 10, but then again, I was focused on finding the fastest of the original yellows.

  • It took me exactly 20hrs but i was doi ng other things in the process o.0

  • breeding the right choccobos too his long always have to do races

  • OMFG OMFG THATS SO MUCH MASTERED.Not, i have 3 mater magics and 3 master summons. IT WAS A PAIN in the butt to master knights of thr round. Jeese it took me like 2 hours just to master it.

  • Can somebody help me? I'm on Disc 2 at the momment and this is my first playthrough of the game, but I would like to know how you get triple materia growth. If anyone can help me this would be much appreciated.

  • Breed a gold chocobo and enter and finish the ancient forest task and you'll find a sword for Cloud that has three slots for triple growth. I just put "all" in all three slots so that each AP gained is essentially 360 gil upon mastering the "all".

  • Thanks alot.

  • ok so i get to that spot but i cant get back up you say you go there get your all up then sell it well how the hell do you do that

  • I've answered this very recently in another reply.

  • Is there possible to leave northern crater after you've gotten to this grind spot?People have told me it is, but for me its not possible, atleast not the same way that i got into the crater

  • Go to the place where you just enter the Northern Cave and you'll see a cave right near the box where you get the save crystal. Enter it and search the walls to the north (up) for something climbable and climb back up to return to the Highwind.

  • Thanks for a quick anwser but my problem is that i cannot get past back up from where you choose wether to go left or right, i belive its the stone pillar im supposed to climb up, but i simply cant do so

  • How do i get w-item if i missed it at midgar?

  • Use Bone Village. It'll take a while though, even as much as 4 hours.

  • I took 30 mins O.o o.O

And i found a megaelixir first

    Then nothing...

    Until W-item came O.o o.O

  • where u got that sword?

  • What sword are you referring to? If it's the apocalypse (for 3 triple-growth slots), you get it in the ancient forest - get a gold chocobo or defeat diamond/ultimate weapon (not sure which - you have to find it).

  • Its Ultimate Weapon :P

  • If this weapon, ultimate weapon, has no materia growth, I can guarantee that that is not what I'm using. I never use such weapons or armor in this game, for anything.

  • Nah... you said :...or defeat diamond/ultimate weapon (not sure which - you have to find it). and i meant that you must defeat ultima weapon

  • Seeing the "it's ultimate weapon", I was thinking of a sword given that the previous message was about a sword and thus didn't realize I was questioning on the enemy. My mistake.

  • Never mind i rread the desciption ;D

  • Yuffie is so awesome.

  • i got over 11 mill gil :D

  • With this area, you can get that 11 million gil in about 12 to 15 minutes (based on mastered materia). In 2 hours, you get 90-110 million gil's with.

  • Uh.. is this the PC version? The camera doesn't pan around after you defeat enemies, like in the PS version.

I have the Ultimate Guide by Versus Books and it says you don't need to give the Magic Pots elixirs; it just makes them stop stealing from you. I think they played on a test version that got changed so that you have to give them elixirs to be able to hurt them.

  • This is actually the PS1 version. In the configuration options, there is an option to set camera movement. Set it to 0% and the camera no longer moves at all, except under very rare circumstances (summons and certain limits for example). I don't like the camera movement. In addition, a static camera means a smaller video file size.

  • I see. Thanks!

  • thanks

  • if you you enter the northern cave

Can you go outside again ??

  • Yes. Just back track all the way to the first spiral part and enter the cave. There's a hidden climbing area that you use.

  • where is this place??

  • Northern Cave, left path upon reaching the area where you split the party in 2.

  • so ulilililililia... in the end why would u need so much money in FF7? i mean i know a few mil would be great

but ur makin it seem like ur goin for a gil record

  • Self-challenges - that's what often keeps me at some games for hundreds of hours, even a thousand hours. My previous record before this was 1.3 billion. To ensure I broke it, I went to 1.4 billion and that's what I did. The real limit is either 2,147,483,647 (32-bit signed int) or 4,294,967,295 (32-bit unsigned int), the latter is most likely since negative gil is meaningless.

  • so how much experience and ap could i get on disk one?

  • It's unlimited. Haven't you seen my "sixth leveling grounds" video? Take note of my level and gil - I've essentially maxed the level and I've got over a quarter billion gil by then.

  • man too bad u cant use this during disc 1 how kool would that be if u could
