Might be confusing them with some of the other Scandinavian countires- Norway kept lapsing back into their pagan beliefs time and time again, while the other countries wouldn't even accept some of the fundamental beliefs, despite being nominally xtian.
the song is amazing and it's the expression of protest and defiance of the forced Christianization, not Christianity itself. Remember that in Scandinavia a lot of people were forced to accept Christianity, and the old religion was destroyed. Don't just look at one side of something when devising your own opinion about it. Question everything, and when you find something that may be the correct answer, question it again to make sure.

I remember reading about how England had an awsome culture... then everyone became sell-outs to christianity (which was built on the bones of the Roman Empire). Jesus has no evidence to support his existance whatsoever. In fact the magical powers can be an argument against his existance. In other words terrible events in history such as the holocaust had no reason for being. The only real reason to go to church for centuries was to keep alive, then maintain ones majority social priviledge.
