Those will explode, and explode in the sense that there will not be a fiery explosion in so far as there will be a bursting and a report from those cells inside. Also a full, uncontrolled short, not a slow gradual one. I had a nine volt over heat from just itself and the plate of steel I accidentally left it on for about a min.
