@smoothMousePad I'm not familiar with the term "suicide grip" is that where they don't use their thumb? I heard of a professional football player crushing his neck by doing that, not too long ago.
@fitnesspath hi mate, is it necessary to bend your back so much on the deadlifts? i no you wouldnt of posted it if you thought otherwise but im a totall noob and trying to gather up as much info as possible before i go back to gym next week. thnx.
@BodyBuildingNoobHere No it's not, especially if you're doing heavy weight. That's my cousin. He's using light weight so it's not going to hurt him or anything, but just don't make it a habit. I've helped him kick that habit since this video (2 years ago)
@fitnesspath i dint really think this was good form to begin with but it has "zero" dis-likes so i thought "hmmm, maybe its ok form" but thanks for that bit of confirmation.
@willboreps3 Lol yeah, that was a silly habbit of mine. It doesn't really effect anything negatively. It's better to have your feet planted (which I do now), but realistically it wasn't hurting my progress. Quite a few friends made fun of me for that.
the form on the bench press and clean and press was not that great. for the bench press his feet kept shifting where they are ment to stay in the one position and for the clean and press you didnt lock out your elbows at the top of the movement probably becuase you used a to heavier weight. be careful you could damage you elbows
I'd say the dead lift form was pretty good and I'm not sure which "press" you're talking about. The bench or the overhead... but the bench was nearly perfect. The clean and press shouldn't have been attempted with such a heavy load though.
im of the opinion that you shouldnt hyperextend at the top like that on the deads. and with the c&p, hes (idk if its you) essentially upright rowing it rather than shruging it up and there was no lockout.
It's personal preference. It allows you to go a bit heavier as well.
You should dead lift as much as possible with a pronated grip (both of them overhand) but you're going to hit a certain point when your grip is just slipping. When this happens, switch over to alternate grip (like demonstrated in the video)
nice... no suicide grip on bench press... when I see dudes in the gym using suicide grip, get chills...

@fitnesspath i have to agree with andrewishanukaai, hyper extending on the deadlift is bad for your back and soon will lead to injury.

I got a question about the deadlifts. I noticed one palm faces in while the other faces out. Does this make a difference or a personal preference?
