have you done the trottle plate mod yet? or have you changed intakes at all.. cool little trick with the throttle plate .. cut the baffle off and get 30%more airflow

cut the catalytic converter off a 4.3 thats what they all sound like.. cheap and easy,, heck you want it to look staright to the eye just hollow out the converter,,other than that not ot much horse power added by this and a drop in gas mileage is expected,,

hey i see u have no muffler on it. but does it run like shit without it? i asked my manager and he said since there is no back pressure it would run like shit and your gas mileage would drop. i was wondering if thats all true since u dont have a muffler. i hate my flowmaster 40 serious sounds to low on my 03 s10 with the 4.3

oh ok he just said the ideal would be shity at a stop and u will hear it not running right cause there is no back pressure. so i didnt cut off my muffler because i didnt want my truck to run like shit. but i wanted to ask someone that has it done to see if thats true or not

I will give you the combo secret, but I wonder if you will be able to use it in the US. I did it here when I moved out from the US and brought my 99ZR2 to where I live now. The combo is a- cut the cat b- have a flowmaster 40 series ( I have the off-road version) c- (might be not true) have a high octane fuel (I am using a 95 grade). after following this receipie let me know about the results. I will upload my clip soon for youto watch and give you the link. You should hear my beast dude.

Those who will advise me about the cat. No cats are installed here since they will get damaged quickly as mine ran out in less than a year of moving in. The wather here reaches 130F. So, it's better to let your car breath some air and cool down since cats raise the engine heat and keep it warm.

this sounds exactly like my friends 2006 gmc sierra its funny cuz he has the 6.0 vortec max engine and he cut off the mufflers under it and runs it that way...

i cut the cats off of mine and put glass packs under it and from there i ran 3 in. dual straights out with big tips . THAT was loud. everyone thought it was a 350 until i revved it up. at night you can see fireballs inside the pipes. i also put an msd blaster ignition coil in it if it made any difference.

The 4.3 aka is a 262, if you do the math, a 4.3 is the brother to the 350,, meaning the 262 is a 350 without two cylinders

ya i already knew that. thats why i wanted to put that kind of exhaust on it. whats the best mileage a 4.3 gets? the best ive ever seen one get was like 15 or 16 mpg.

well i was trying to compinsate for loss of power through the powertrain but really it could be anywhere from what i said to what you said depending on how its running and if its tuned properly. plus you lose 18-20% power with automatic trannys and you lose 12-14% with manual
