and also were you using some sort of steady cam device?

nope. just my steady hands. most of the shots were stationary so it wasn't a total pain to get nice shots completely hand-held. the shots of the water coming out of his mouth were on a tripod simply because i had to hold the hose behind his head and we didn't want the camera accidentally moving and catching me.

what kind of sound set-up did you have....

we had just a regular shotgun mic hooked into the 7d. nothing fancy.. we now have an external recording device because the 7d as of right now does not allow you to adjust input levels.

I love it but please more on what you had for sound on this (exactly what type of mic and connector) and also what you bought for it now as a solution.

im not sure which mic we used.. Russ will have to answer that.. But the new device we got is called the H4N by ZOOM.. it's awesome!

we had an xlr mic with a 1/8" adapter plugged into the 7d. we are in the process of getting an external device.
