and I also know enough about "cheapo" instrument affects like this.... it makes any guitar sound flat. although this might be slightly out of tune.

I have one. it sounds okay with heavy distortion if you turn the speed down but when the speed is all the way it can give the guitars' sound a spooky tone. Kind of sounds like Clutch

There's no doubt about that. I own the Soul Vibe and it's O.K. After hearing the FoxRox Aqua vibe, nothing sounds good. For the Money though, the Soul Vibe is alright.

Have you played the Voodoo lab Micro vibe? What's your opinion on that vs. the soul vibe?

I don't know how similar the Soul Vibe is but the intention of Voodoo Lab was to make a sonic replica of the Univox UniVibe. I think my Micro Vibe sounds very much like on my Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock DVD. It's got a lot of deepness and crispness that I am not hearing on this recording. - Also BBE effects are not true bypass, they are "hard wired bypass". Basically the output is switched in or out but the input is always connected. That's ok because there is a high impedence buffer on that input

don't get eigther. the micro vibe is much better. i have the soul vibe and i shouldn't of wasted my money. if yuo don't want to spend the money for a fulltone deja vibe(i highly suggest you do) but if you want a less expensive one get the danalectro. it sounds 10x as good as this.

I have played both deja's and they sound really weak for the money. the micro vibe is good, bbut this thing for 80 bucks on amazon is really the best bet.

i have both dunlop 1967/1969/70 fuzz faces and agree they kick major ass when they are put after the BBE Soul Vibe i also own a few dunlop reissues Uni Vibes and the Soul vibe seems to hit the target a little better any ways i love them both.
