I made one with the exact same pill box, I made two holes in the side, glued a pen tube in one and a piezo spark generator in the other. I fired it about 5 times but the piezo lighter stopped working, I think its because of moisture on the metal of the two parts, but when I wipe it clean it still doesn't seem to work. The piezo spark generator was from a lighter

powerfull? i don't call my mini spud pistol powerful although its the same size and can shoot through that cardboard with a piece of potato. if i load a bolt in it breaks a beer bottle. Find a bottle with a better lid, and make the barrel longer then maybe you'll know what powerful means

Don't push the igniter when you open it right after a shoot. There still could be hairspray, and catch on fire. It ruined my first gun.

if you move the ignition nails closer to the barrel and put something to protect them from your initial spray of hair spray, you wont have your "cleaning the starter" problem every time.

u guys it can shoot potatoes, just now WHOLE potatoes. if u jam the end of the barrel into a potato, it will have a piece of potato in the barrel. then just fire it normally (but i'd add more fuel)

I used to make these as a teen, just be careful because the lid tends to fail (explode) after a short amount of use. Just make sure you wear eye protection every time you use it, I'd hate for you or anyone who duplicates this to lose an eye. have fun but be safe
