Industrialization was accelerated in Lithuania after annexation by the Soviet Union. As the focus shifted from the agricultural industry to heavy industry. This is fact that can't be denied.

@aureez Russia have never depened on food suplies from Lithuania. Actually it was SU who invested a lot in modernisation of Lithuania which was largely agrucaltural state. Industrialization was accelerated in Lithuania after annexation by the Soviet Union. As the focus shifted from the agricultural industry to heavy industry. This is fact that can't be denied.

Russian troops took TV station, stopped broadcast and routed crowd around. 14 civillians and one spestnaz soldier(not clear friendly or hostile fire) left dead. And then in 2 weeks Gorbachev gives baltic republics permission to leave Soviet Union.

yeap i've seen couple document's were russian so-called historians are claiming that baltics joined the soviet union by their own choice (many of them still even dare to claim that finland started the winterwar!) . but don't get me wrong, many russians are good people (i have been there myself), it's just sucks how their leaders run their country and how they treat many of their neighbours.
