Calling Slade fans with Ginny Ginny on yellow vinyl.... Saturday April 2nd 2011 meet more Slade fans with a copy at The Trumpet, Bilston . Post here if interested.
Glad to see you guys like this song, not one of their best in my opinion but saw them do it live at Barbarellas in Bham in 79 Great night as usual. I remember thinking how long can they go on being ignored by the media and having no hits: I needn't have worried because a few months later a friend told me they were appearing at Reading and I knew the bad times were over and Slade were about to rule agen !! Long live The Mighty Slade.
I was with the students who filmed the footage in 1981....this clip..I made by joining disparate bits of footage together..mirroring it, duplicating parts...slowing some bits down....taking bits from elsewhere in the original scraps of poor quality video to join to the audio that I had. Then..I created the whole 'documentary ' in the form it is available in now and made the .One More Time' DVD...adding the unseen promos.which again..are all edited to complete versions using the same methods
I added it as part 4 of the said 'documentary' that I made recently here on Youtube.......I was hounded for years by Newman £ Co and so I used to hide all the cips and stuff I had...but now I think they realise that its all good publicity and they cant stop it anyway.....enjoy.
@wwhk33 You right, but 100+ brilliant tunes would fit there as well, including most of their awesome B sides Careful to suggest that a skinhead turned to Glamrockband could make tunes like the 'legends' becoz there are lots of Beatles pundits and hardore fans who don t appreciate this kind of comment. although it is the truth that Slade were the best band ever, in my opinion. This song I think is even not one of their best...
Saw them play this live at Lancaster 1981 on the 'House Down' tour. I remenber a review in sounds in 79 about the Return to Base album refering to the guitar being played backwards never understood what that meant but good track and a great live performance from my fav band. Cheers Sladev

...then I included I think 10 more remastered video clips to make the project worthwhile.
I think for your part...you ripped it from the dvd and posted it! :)
Whatever...nice to see my work as I said.

amazing song , strange feel, fine guitar arrangement (Jim Lea musical director?), a song for the Beatles "White Album"....!
