This show is so sweet and so funny- it kills me what passes for children's entertainment for the last 20-30 years... My six year old loves these old shows and she's not sitting through a thirty minute commercial trying to pass as a kids show. If I had the means I'd yank off all the crap they have on tv lately and put on real entertainment.
You guys remember the show where their house flooded and buster made the pump that worked by a wheel that russell would turn to let him eat peanut butter? That's my favorite show. I emailed the folks at busterandme about it. They are all very lovely and wonderful people. They seemed like the appreciated the thanks!
This was one of my favorite shows growing up in the 80's! I hated that I had to watch it on KRON, which did not want to come in on our crappy antenna in the mountains. I watched it anyway, though, and looking at it again, I can see that it really was quality television!
OMG! I still have nightmares, to this day, of this show!!!!
Grew up in the Bay Area as a kid and didn't realize this was locally produced. When I asked other people about this show they looked at me like I was crazy lol.
Is it me or is this sort of a scary show? Or maybe it was one episode featuring a ghost or nightmare. . .not sure. Too long ago. Still scary to me >_<
holy mother of @$#&! I got chills, Totally forgot about this. The sound of Buster's voice opened up a chamber of my mind that had been closed since I was like 4
@frenchjr25 Thank you for posting! I love all the great bay area throwbacks. Takes me back to a simpler time. And my kids love Mrs. Doubtfire! I took them to the actual house off of Broadway just to show them that it was really filmed in SF.
Thank you so much for posting this. I've been trying forever to find this. Didn't realize it was a Bay Area only show and thus not as easy to find as some other shows from my youth
This was one of my fav shows among all the cool saturday morning cartoons. We seriously need more locally produced media. Visit my page. Say hi. Thanks frenchjr25!

Check out the movie Mrs. Doubtfire. That's Buster with Robin Williams at KTVU.
Buster's puppeteer, Chris Pray, was Williams improve coach in the 1970s.
Glad you like it.
