Kumakawa was superb as the Bronze Idol - apart from his marvellous technique, he always really gave the impession of it being a statue dancing.

definitely one of the most beautiful male variations of the repertoire... the music the coreography, I love this... and Kumakawa is amazing on this role, it is very hard to say who has been the best

alright....being a dancer myself i would defs say this is not the best i have seen....not got the characteristics for bronze idol.angel corellas is more suitable by far. and he is techniqually just as good.

i love him in this. I think Kumakawa has been the BEST bronze idol in makarova's version of la bayadere. i love cornejo but his didn't even surpass kumakawa's in my eyes!

you know whose bronze idol i loved at ABT? JOHAN RENVALL, he was one GREAT bronze idol. that was late 80s and early 90s!
