  • This brings a tear to my eye. LETS GO SOX LETS DO IT AGAIN THIS IS OUR YEAR

  • This just brought a tear to my eye. Most beautiful commercial i have ever seen. I remember clear as day watching this right after the sox won and Fox cut to commercial. Iconic

  • As they say, the rain dance always works. Let's go red sox!

    PS: United supporter here xD

  • ISRITE ONCE A BLUE ALWAYS A BLUE!!EVERTONF.C

  • simple as it is, go sox!!!

as we used to say untiil 2004, NEXT YEAR IS THE YEAR!

  • does anyone know the name of the song?

  • Awesome go sox

  • why the hell are there 58 dislikes? i dont care if you are a yankees fan, this commercial is awesome

  • i wonder what they will do for the cubsif the curse is broken

  • @BULLSfan566 Couldn't show any human growing old that's for sure. Unless they're about 110. LOL It'd be interesting to show all the wars though. Damn, wasn't even WW1 yet. : /

  • This makes me tear up every time. So beautiful.

  • as a liverpool fc fan i want to say thank you to all the red sox fans out there who stuck by john w henry cause if you didnt he wouldent of helped save liverpool, YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE as the sayingsgo "the red sox will never win there series" BULLSHIT and "liverpool will never win the league" lets c what happens now bitches

  • Terry Francona, Thank you for helping to make this moment possible. You will be missed

  • I cry every time I see this.

  • this is one of my favorite commercials of all time

  • I was in NYC the day after the Sox won. I wore my hat. A few idiots said stupid things. But I had many Yankees fans- REAL baseball fans walk up to me and shake my hand. I remember one guy saying "It's a great feeling, ain't it? Enjoy it. You guys waited a long time for this. Congratulations." 'Ill never forget it.

  • Sometimes having a lot tragedy and broken dreams makes the wait worth awhile when your team finally wins a World Series that shook the baseball world.

Yeah, Yankees have 27 World Series. But it gets old real quick like what else is new? '04 was indeed a magical run to the World Series and wining it all.

    Go Red Sox!

  • @aaron93m

    lol

Yea, like reminding Yankee fans about 04 hasn't gotten old real quick too.

  • All those years rooting for your team, staying loyal through all the disappointments and near-misses, all the heartbreak and missed opportunities...to be able to say "they did it" just one time is special. Yeah, it's only a game and there are bigger things in the world to worry about, but if you're a sports fan, you understand. There's just something about it that pulls you in.

  • I love the fact that the 2 kids in 1919 are the old guys in 2004. Even as a yank fan since 7yo in '77, this was magical. bdog

  • @bdog1323 you're the kind of Yankee fan I respect. You're the kind that actually respects the game, and not just the world series titles. Much respect.

  • @singersinger456 thanx man. and how can anyone NOT a baseball fan of any team not have enjoyed game 162 for MLB thru game 7 of the world series!!! LOL Besides, on opening day, we're ALL tied for first!!! : P

  • Listen when the yankee wins the world series theyre excited and thats good and its another ring to their collection but when the redsox won, it was magical, it brought tears to my eyes and my grandfather, no other world series will ever be as magical as 2004.

  • Dude. Thumbs up if you tear up from this shit. Someone from Nike Boston was involved with this. '04 was the year.

  • of all those 27 championships, 20 of them occurred before 1960...way before most of our time. dont brag about somethin u didnt witness

  • Jajajajaaj se lo podrían hacer al Cruz Azul o al Atlas en México

  • that may have been the best commercial i have ever seen

  • @NHLJOEY22 and explain to me how those 27 championships from THE PAST are going to help you in the present and future, numb nuts?

  • @metzdawg3000 yankees have a more current world series win than the red sox do... but they are both great teams! The red soxs' offense is incredible this year! A-Gon is a complete stud. Im a yankees fan, but i do like players on the red sox.

  • I still tear up whenever I watch this

  • LETS GO SOXS

  • I wish this song was about 2 minutes longer...

  • phillies!!!

  • I don't care what team you root for; if this doesn't get to you as a sports fan in relation to how you feel about your team, you don't have a soul.

  • @RatedRKingofKings and then you count in 2 world series at the hands of the yankees and then the curse of the billy goat being made and whatever else, then 2003 nlcs, every bit of misery the cubs have had it all

  • @BChoung94 2003, man, I'll never forget those playoffs; the guy who stole that foul ball from Alou at Wrigley, and the absurd decision by Grady Little not to change Pedro timely... I know that even some Yankee and Card fans would've wanted that CUBS Vs SOX World Series to happen. Until this day I wonder, what course would have been broken then?

  • @RatedRKingofKings it's interesting to know what would've happened.I feel their misery in 05 when the white sox broke their drought and as we all know,2008 was a frustrating year for the cubs, especially when one of their better players, fukodome goes from all star game starter to being left off the postseason roster

  • It took me 6 years to finally realize how much suffering Red Sox fans went through when last November, the Giants won it all.Kudos to the Sox!

  • This was really a touching commercial. Airing immediatley after the sox won.

  • 2011 R.I.P

  • 56 stupid yankee fans disliked this. GO SOX!!!!!

  • @1945josuharuiz....you are stupid. How the hell can you not get the commercial if you know the red sox history. I usually don't comment but you have to be stupid to not understand the commercial unless you don't know red sox history. On another note....LET'S GO SOX!!! FIRST PLACE YANKEE BITCHES

  • @1945joshuaruiz In 1918, the Red Sox won their 5th title. From 1918 to 2004, the Red Sox did not win the world series. This commercial celebrates our loyalty to the team and is a tribute to people like my grandfather and father who have longed for the Red Sox to win the WS and went through that drought to see it finally happen. 86 years went by for this title. That's long. This event connected mothers, daughters, sons, fathers, grandparents.

It helped me connect with my father.

  • @jetblach I've watched HBO's "The Reverse of the Course of the Bambino" and I know what you're talking about; I also read "The History of the World Series" by Cuban writer Julio Vené, which includes the story of an old man crying and smiling all alone at a bar in St Louis after the Red Sox won Game 4, telling Vené the story of his life, which is very similar to the one told by this commercial.

I'm a Red Sox fan, but much more, since 2004, I'm a Red Sox Fans' fan. Greetings from Mexico.

  • @RatedRKingofKings

Now they just need a nike commercial for the Bruins from 1972 to 2011. Thank god I've lived to see the Sox, Pats, Celts and B's win.

Only in God's country, MASSACHUSETTS baby! (Where I am)

  • @1945joshuaruiz the red sox won the world series in 1918, but they won it in 2004, so it was a long wait

  • @dasunn1 the people r they same and y r they watchin da game

  • @1945joshuaruiz Red sox won 5 of the first 15 world series last one being 1918 and then the red sox didnt win it again until 2004...and they did it in dramatic fashion in the ALCS by beating their rivals

  • @TheFlair8 NO i mean betweeen 1918 to 2004 y was time goin by

  • i wonder if the yankees fans realize everyone hates them.. they have the biggest payroll and still cant win

  • Granderson is on steroids

  • Lets go Yankees

  • Need a Bruins Verson of this. Not quite as many yrs, but just as much passion. Maybe more.

  • Hey Nike do a Bruins version of this!

  • The Red Sox will break their fans' hearts again.

  • Nike always knows how to make commercials.

  • @sowavyowww- Exactly man! You are a true fan. All Red Sox fans and Yankee fans always hate on each other, but at the end of the day they are two of the best franchises to play the game, and without then Major League Baseball wouldn't be as much

  • I'm a lifetime yanks fan but I also have a great, humbling respect for the Red Sox tradition and history. Not until you actually meet the people of New England and get to know and appreciate what the Red Sox means to them will you be able to appreciate their passion for the team. Same goes for the Cubs, Phillies, Reds, etc. We are more alike in our love for baseball and respective teams than we are different. Even though I'm gladly a yank, a great amount of credit is due to the Red Sox champs

  • Greatest video ever made

  • Not a Red Sox fan, but this is a very great commercial. 94 people dislike must be either haters or low Yankess' fan.

  • I almost Cry

  • the red sox's 2004 world series means a lot more than any of the yankees' 27

  • @thiefswiller Well Put :)

  • Chills. GO SOX!

  • WOW. I was the 900th liker of this video. Also, this video almost brings a tear to my eye, thinking about how the Red Sox overcame their misery, but my beloved Cubs and the fans are stil suffering.... if my Cubs ever do win a World Series in my lifetime, I probably will be an old, old man, but I'll never stop dreaming, because that good feeling will never go away :D

  • Did anyone notice that the old guy in the 1999-2001 was John Henry, the owner of the Sox.. .how legit

  • I love how generations kept shifting from right to left. In 1919 the dad brought along his two sons then 86 years and 3 generations later, the youngest son lived long enough to see them win with his son and grandson. Very moving.

  • GOOSEBUMPS

  • Best year of my life.

  • I want my Expos de Montreal!!!!!!

  • I still get fuzzy feeling from this commercial seeing this after the Red Sox won the 2004 World Series. I remembered calling my Dad after Red Sox won and he was even more happier that I was seeing the Red Sox win.

I live in Los Angeles, but I remembered going to San Diego in 2007 just to watch the Red Sox. And I'll go again the next time the Red Sox will take on the Padres in San Diego. The only time the Red Sox ever came to Los Angeles was in 2002.

  • great. nuff said.

  • This has the distinction of being the only commercial to make me cry.

  • Red Sox! Always & Forever a die hard fan!

  • not much makes me cry, but this commercial does. glad my grandpa got to see them win before he died.

  • my baseball coach used to play for the red sox,his name was tony sheffield. im serious, he teaches p.e. at my school

  • I'm a Yankee fan and I love this commercial. I can't help it. I remember seeing this commercial right after they won and saying "you know what, it's alright!" But 2004 was enough :)

  • this made me cry like a disturbed child on the floor !!

  • this brought a tear to my eye =) thats very rare for any move or TV commercial, love this

  • this one always makes me cry. go sox!

  • Boston the best sports city in the U.S.They were extremely loyal to the Red Sox through all those years.

  • Its amazing that I still get the same reaction watching this video now then I did 6 years ago.

  • 2011 World Series. RedSox/Giants.

  • Ahhhh, fond memorys

  • I remember watching this commercial for the first time and thinking, "everyone has somebody they dedicate this win to." I still weep seeing this commercial knowing that my Uncle Alec and my grandfather did not live to see the Sox win it all. That and it's also very tasteful.

  • I remember seeing this the very first time it aired and I thought damn now that's how you do a commerical!

  • I'm a yankee fan but this is one of the best scenes ever. I love it. Congrats Sox even to this day is still one of my favorite baseball memories.

  • We didn't have to wait quite as long as these guys, but it perfectly captures my sentiment. Thank you Red Sox, thank you Giants.

  • I really need this song PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

  • Time for Nike to make one for the 2010 San Francisco GIANTS

  • @punkroxs the rest of the US hates us - at least it feels that way!

  • @ar0tam Well forget them The Giants are Champs and they can suck on that. Only reason Phillies went and signed Lee is because they wanted a rotation that could possibly compete with the Giants.

  • :( Very sad commercial, I want cry, but this is our season RED SOX 2011

  • LETS GO RED SOX 2011=WORLD CHAMPS

  • 2011 is for boston

  • congrats to San Fran, they've been waiting forever too.

  • @Tmartin1438 Best moment of my life seeing the Giants win.

  • what a beautiful commercial!

  • Did anyone know this music ? I love it , so beautiful

  • love the sox and chelsea but liverpools welcome

  • They completely missed out the mad dash

  • Idk why, but seeing this commercial after the 86 years the Red Sox and their fans have endured, almost brings me to tears. It's weird because I'm an SF Giants fan, but that's how great this commercial is. The music and setting makes you feel like you've been a die hard fan for 86 years witnessing heartbreak and let downs, only to finally see your team win it all when you're an old man. I was happy for Boston when they finally won. Besides my team, I'd like to see the Cubs break their curse.

  • 6 years ago today.... and it seems like yesterday.

  • As a native Bostonian and life long Boston sports fan, I cry everytime I see this.People rag on the Sox...call Patriots fans bandwagon fans, and scoff at the C's. But if you're from Boston, you know what it was like to sit in a empty, cold, and chilly Sullivan stadium, watch that Bucker ground ball, and see the Celtics dip to all time low's the last 20 years. This commercial means alot to me as a Bostonian.

  • cooool

  • nice video dudee

  • nice video :)

  • nice

  • Can anyone find me the song to this

  • This advert should be remade for when Newcastle win something :(

  • @danslog Alan Shearer LEGEND

  • @danslog the beer?

  • go sox

  • Great ad

  • reminds of paok salonika...

  • Wow. As a Liverpool fan looking into the Red Sox, this is one of those truly great adverts. Sadly i'm not old enough to have lived through liverpools glory days so my fears of this advert being a reality are still present. But If you could wait 86 years, I can wait just a little longer.

  • F@CK THE YANKEES!! RED SOX FAN FROM GREECE!!! :)

  • Good grief, I still bawl every time I watch this video. Mostly because it is my grandpa's life.

  • Red Sox fan or not, you've gotta admit that this is one of the best commercials ever made.

  • MIGHTY RED & RED SOX YES!!!

  • @RobinsonBEASTCano24 What you mean we had to suffer our ass while we saw the Yanks "win" in 04 and 07? Its true we where hopless, those damn yanks are so good they will trim your vagina! Grow up bitch.

  • The Boston Ballers of 04.

  • The 2004 Red Sox had the most heart outta any other team in existence. They were the definition of team in baseball. Much like the 2001-02 New England

  • awesome video

  • @RobinsonBEASTCano24 You can't argue with that, so you say "shut up, fag".

I think the whole world knows who the are the fags since that comeback in 2004. You Yankees choke. And always will be weak in the knees when facing the BOSTON RED SOX.

  • @gmchico yea thats why the yankees are in the playoffs, running shit and sweeping teams and the red sox are at home sucking dick.

  • @RobinsonBEASTCano24 You envy our history so much... that's the only reason you are here in the page of a video about the Sox.

You Yankees will always be known as the first team in history of Major League who allowed a 0-3 become a 4-3.

  • @gmchico

The 'reverse the curse' down 0-3, getting beat 19-8 in the third game, to come back and win, my god, how inspiring is that. It wont be done for a very very long time, if done at all lol. I love how you put that the Yankees will be known as the only team in MLB history to allow a team to come back from being up 3 zip. I must be honest, after watching Aaron Boone, hit the homer in game 7 against Wake, I wash crushed. And I almost gave up on them after losing 19-8 game 3 the next year.

  • @fmnma1 Hey... the SOX never give up, dude. There were sometimes that I thought I wouldn't live to see it... like when that happened to poor Bill "Between the Legs" Buckner. But, well, when all seemed lost again, we had the Yankees to choke and allow the greatest comeback in history of baseball.

"Who would have believed you all come along? Hands... touching hands... reaching out... touching me, touching you..."

  • @gmchico I remember watching that live as a kid the Buckner between the legs, they HAD IT lol. Buckner if you recall did pay a visit last year I believe (not this season) Buckner made his return. He almost balled, and from what I understand, when through hell for a very long time. I think the 'Why not us' will remain as a statement forever. Almost like a verse in the Bible. I just wish I could go back to that moment of despair, and live those 4 days, all over again.

  • @gmchico yea i really envy the fact that the sox went 86 years without winning a ws...some history you got there, chief. just shut up the yankees are amazing and the sox blow, get over it

  • @RobinsonBEASTCano24 the yankees may be "amazing" but they are douchebags who buy all of their players, give me the idiots any day, thumbs up for the idiots of '04!

  • @RobinsonBEASTCano24 Well, Yankee, what are you still doing here? It's a video about the SOX, it's not for you and your stupid mates, who support a team just because of it's titles. Go watch the playoffs. And keep having nightmares about the 0-3 that beacame 4-3.

  • @gmchico im still here bc your dumb ass keeps responding. and dont worry, that was 2004, i dont live in the past unlike you fags who only have 1 season to fall back on while we have 27..soon to be 28.

  • @RobinsonBEASTCano24 And that's the point you will never understand, stupid Yankee. The Red Sox are more than winning World Series. And that's why you can't stop watching this commercial.

  • as a red sox and manutd fans.... i still want to say congratulations to you scousers... John Henry is going to turn you guys around....

  • Fuck, this gets me everytime.

  • wow, i actually feel a connection to the red sox. i actually might start watching baseball...

  • Welcome to Red Sox Nation, scousers!

  • @dcruz09 Welcome to our family old son!! watch?v=11MQnQ8QjJs, the song that all the fans are singing from 1 minute or so on, is sung at every match before Kick off, here is the orginal watch?v=8smO4VS9134, listen to it, & let me know if you think you can get every red sox fan to sing it at Fenway Park?

  • @digisexdj Haha! I know about that song! I used to watch Michael Owen play with Liverpool but kinda stop because La Liga is more my thing (Barça fan here). But as for the song, perhaps we Sox fans can learn to sing it but chances are we'll be too drunk to remember the entire song! (Just kidding! but kinda true....)

Anyway, good luck this season. Hope to see Liverpool play Barça again in the Champions League (hopefully soon!) VISÇA EL BARÇA, VISÇA LIVERPOOL, VISÇA RED SOX!

  • @dcruz09 Barca fan, god love ya lol, you could make history! by getthing all the sox fans to appect the song as their official anthem, but do it before everyone gets drunk lol....& I keep a close eye on the Red Sox in 2011, count me as a new fan to the Nation!! Peace!!

  • @dcruz09 yankees lost to texas, they suck

  • Youll Never Walk Alone

  • @RobinsonBEASTCano24 You stupid Yankees will never know what is a love like this, that goes throughout generations, no matter wins or not.

  • Yankees suck couldn't even beat the paw sox last weekend

  • i can feel the pain of the people is this video

  • @RobinsonBEASTCano24

Fuck off? well excuse me and the other Red Sox fans but we thought this was a RED SOX video not a yankee one, so telling us to fuck off is just childish. Get off the computer you are past ur bed time fucking cunt.

  • Hey Boston, What are you doing this october

  • @mrmofo100

    watching the bruins

  • @RobinsonBEASTCano24 bad troll is bad

  • LOVE THE SOX!!!!

  • @RobinsonBEASTCano24 nice comeback

  • @cwhredsox thanks chief

  • @cwhredsox greatest and most dramatic sports comeback in history, suck on that ya pedobear bitch. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

  • @RobinsonBEASTCano24 wow thats sad hahaha wtf pathetic and the jets rlly come on u cud have a least said the giants

  • @cwhredsox nah im a jets fan. youre a douche serously just dont comment back

  • @RobinsonBEASTCano24 hahahahaha did i hurt ur feelings fuck off

  • look at those dbags. took them 86 years to figure out the red sox blow.

  • This makes me cry every time

  • This ad still gives me goosebumps, and yes i am a Sox fan.

  • @pissedoffpenguin too bad they suck

  • Best commercial in history. Even over the I'm on a horse guy.

  • I may be a Yankee fan, but I LOVE this Red Sox commercial's message.

  • have some respect, this commercial celebrates the decades of pain red sox fans have endured for that magical year. Brings a tear to my eye, go sox!

  • can stupid red sox fans explain to me how the red sox are better than the Yankees?

  • @mrmofo100 they dnt buy there rings, and they have real fans not bandwagon yank fans

  • @cwhredsox oh really they don't buy there championships lets see how many free agents they had on there championship team Manny Ramriez, David Ortiz, Pedro Martinez, Curt Schilling, Johnny Damon, Josh Beckett and Derek Lowe. Im sure they had others but i dont follow the sorry ass red sox.

  • @mrmofo100 Do you even know baseball? We got Ortiz for pennies when he was a nobody on the Twins. He was pitiful. Damon is the same thing. He was decent but I bet you can't name the team he was on before the Sox. Derek Lowe, same thing, tell me who he played for before Boston without googling it you amateur fan. Josh Beckett was part of a trade for arguably one of the best prospects of all time - Hanley Ramirez. We didn't BUY any of these players. Honestly do your homework before you look dumb

  • @mrmofo100 And if you want to keep going... Ellsbury, Pedroia, Youk, Bucholz, Lester, Bard, Papelbon etc. are all products of the Sox farm system. Sure you got Jeter, Mariano, Posada etc. but the list of overpaying you baseball ruining Yankees have is disgusting. How is Carl Pavano working out for you by the way? Did he pitch a game for you ever or just take about 35 million while on the Dl for years? Oh and 35 million - thats one year for AROD and the entire salary of the Marlins. Wake Up!

  • @mrmofo100 are you a fucking idiot? what team doesnt have free agents whats ur team? david ortiz was a back up for the twins then was a back up for the sox untill he became an allstar they dint pay shit for him josh beckett was a trade and we gave up hanley ramirez johnny damon is just avg player and D lowe sucked when he came to boston then became good now wats ur team best not say the yanks

  • @cwhredsox ok and they yankees have free agents too stupid asshole and if you wanna say you got beckett from a trade we gor a-rod from a trade

  • @mrmofo100 did i say u dint get a roid frm a trade im sayin a fuckin yank fan has no rite to say anything abt free agents and money dumbass who has the highest payroll in baseball.............yea shut the fuck up

  • @cwhredsox Just wondering do you know how many world series the yankees have compared to the sorry ass red sox

  • @mrmofo100 just wondering do you know how many rings the yanks bought? compared to the sox who won with real talent win a ring without the highest payroll then mayb ill show the yanks respect oh yea almost forgot what team lost 4 games in a row after being up 3 biggest choke of all time hahahahahahahaha

  • @cwhredsox

you good sir. you are my new best friend

  • @cwhredsox The Red Sox have a high payroll and get free agents so fuck off and oh ya forgot which team didn't win a world series from 1918-2004 asshole

  • @mrmofo100 they have a high payroll but are far behind the yanks and again with the free agents every fucking team has free agents jackass and who the hell cares wasnt born till 89 so y do i care what they did b4 that 2004, 2007 im happy with that keep your bought rings and new shity stadium still cnt believe a yank fan is still taking abt money hahahahahahahahah
