In Italy our bartenders don't serve the real absinthe (called assenzio here), ora at least the 75% one. They sell the more syrup tasting like that is still strong but not as strong as the original formula of absinthe. If you want a really strong liquor i reccomend "Latte di Suocera" wich is a real 75% spirit very strong though equally tasty. Cheers! ;)
1 time i drank a whole bottle of absinth.. and all i know from that evening/night/morgning was that i wake up on a roof maybe 30-40 meters up and had no clue how i got there but fun was it when my friends told me what i had done xD ! it was a 70cl 80% dont do it :P
I call bullshit, absinthe is generally 60 to 80% by volume. drink a full bottle (750ml) you would of woken up in the hospital for alcohol poisoning (aswell as caused alot of damage to lining in your stomach and throat) If it did happen then chances are it was one of those knockoff oil "kits" mixed in vodka.
