My jardine does this too and is over 6 years old now.
My senegal parrot does almost the same but without hanging wings but my jardine lets her wings hang down and makes the same noise and sometimes gives up food so verry normal behaviour I think.
Weird. My jardine does that too. Mine is about fourteen years old and he does that every time he sees my mom. It kind of looks like a mating dance or something. I don't really understand it.
Really! And yours is already 14. Ours does it around both of us; but I must say that she does it more often around my boyfriend. Most of the time while playing. The first few times we witnessed it we also thought: is this normal? It could be mating related. But ours is still so young (5 months), maybe she already practising or something.. and we think it's her way to show us that she likes us. But it's nice to know she's not the only one;-)
Thanks! She's about 4/5 months old and really lots of fun! We know her as a Poicephalus gulielmi gulielmi. I think they call this subspecies a Black Wing in the US? I took a quick look at your site as well. The birds you raise look very good and they're soo cute!!
