  • Why is there only 2 black people and plus why does one only have a picture and they both have the shortest time in this video

  • seriously no dimebag?

  • Im sorry but Eddie Van Halen is better then Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page and maybe even Hendrix.

  • Alright, sure Jimi Hendrix is the best of all time, but where is Randy Rhoads?

  • where is keith richerds

  • When he said of all time was really talking serious !

  • Where is STEVE MORSE???????????/

  • This might be a good list, but all the licks being played aren't that interesting.

  • this list sucks!!!! to not have the creator of some of the best guitar licks on here. Yes...I am talking abut nugent!!!

  • What a shit selection, A Young plays better and outrocks these m'f with ONE hand

  • @devontown I'm pretty sure Angus would give these guys a lot of respect.

  • @devourerofbabies I am sure he would, as your selection possibly reflects the excellence of the players to be perfect, I can't argue with that. I can tell you that the electric guitar is a tool and it's used by musicians to sell music. rhythm, drive, attack, and pure showmanship wins the day AKA pete townsend, precision has nothing to do with it

  • also brian may built his own guitar

  • i could play #26 if somebody has the tabs for it

  • what song is David Gilmore playing

  • No Ritchie Blackmore...............?

  • if were talkin influential, hendrix should be #1-10

  • @martinryan69 All lists of guitarists should stop at #2. Everybody knows who #1 is. There is no debate. I doesn't need to be said.

  • its funny, most people watch this knowing the top three is eric jimmy and jimi,so theres not much a point, cuz thats how it goes on every list.

  • Eric Clapton is not 3 LOL !!! The 3 is Eddie Van Halen !!!1

  • was 1/3 of that trio from canada in there?

  • Awesome video! Thanks for making this. Would add Mark Knopfler, Nils Lofgren for sure, but would have a hard time deciding who'd be bumped off your list. Sweet!

  • I would have included Mark Knopfler, Keith Richards, and Jon Birgisson - all in the top 10, IMO.

  • Where was Gary Moore ?

  • All wrong

  • comprised by and for rockers with plenty of "boxes". Total rubbish

  • Satch should have been higher on your list.

  • I am sorry for not agreeing with you, the ability to play fast does not make a guitar player great. Playing guitar also has to make sense, and be musical to the ears, be it rock and roll (my favorite) or classical, this stuff that you have put out makes no sense at all.

  • No Wes Montgomery, No Johnny Watson, No Charlie Christian, No Joe Pass, No John McLaughlin, No Steve Morse, No Allan Holdsworth......but lots of Page, Slash, and other Rock n Roll Gods

This is a list based on popularity and iconic status, GET IT STRAIGHT

  • @cherryorchards well it's about the most influencal guitarists and when you are popular you are influencal. That how i see it. Though i expected keith on the list because of the open chords

  • The first Guitarplayer in all Stiles is Tommy Emmanuell Nr.1 Nr 2 John Pizzarelli,Nr.3 Steve Morse,Gary Moore and much Guitar-Artist on mass.

The best Guitarplayers comming from Jazz!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great musician's choices!

  • 1st word = John...2nd word = Mclaughlin....

  • where's the green god?

  • where's ollie?

  • the best ist michal angelo batio and herman li!

  • where the fuck is dimebag???!!!!

  • good list but where t-bone walker and tony iommi

  • You should switch Jeff Beck with Slash, or Brian May, no offense to either. Beck should be in Top 10.

  • where is Mark Knopfler ?*??????????

  • where's bluesman - blind big sleepy lightnin' lemon willie henry harding?

  • Phillip A. Bole

  • Uli roth?

  • Mark Knopfler?

  • page better than hendrix

  • duane allman on 20?!

  • Prince?

    and mark knopler?

  • where the hell is albert lee

  • Please just stop with Jimi Hendrix always N 1!

  • @necustan69 Why?

  • sorry but JOHN FRUSCIANTE have to be in top 10

  • Where is Iommi from Black Sabbath? He basically started the whole metal genre!

  • Frank Marino....?

  • Django Reinhardt numéro 1 boufon

  • n'importe quoi

  • Maybe J.J. Cale (E. Clapton is the 4th), Keziah Jones and Vlatko Stefanovski should be on the list.

  • Ritchie Blackmore ?

  • my top only mi opinion: 1.jimmy hendrix. 2.eric clapton. 3.ritchie blackmore. 4.jimmy page 5.pete townshend. 6.frank zappa. 7.chuck berry. 8.b.b king 9.gilmour. 10.van halen
  • jimi hendrix is great but not #1 great i think its either jimmy pagr or srv

  • ...abraham vigoda...

  • are you stupid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • George Harrison?????

  • good and very interesting list and mostly correct.

but why do you ignore ritchie blackmore and rory gallagher ?

  • Kirk hammett..

  • RITCHIE BLACKMORE IS THE BEST GUITARIST EVER!!!!

  • @TheRijir

    Yeah !

  • Ya got some good ones in there but we should add Jerry Reed and Chet Atkins. Maybe a bit of Glenn Campbell.

  • angus young is not the best guitarist not even close

  • Pretty good list except in my opinion for frusciante, prince and santana, they are not good guitarist and they didn't influence anybody. Millions of jazz monster guitarrists missing, and Tony Iommi, Dimebag, Ritchie Blackmore and Steve Morse have to be on any rock list, not only they are great but also influenced lots of others.

  • god guitarrists...bad top....if you talking about music influence townshend is the best

  • If you make a list of most influencial you have to put Joe Perry if you put Slash

  • really guys dont bitch about the list. he could have easily put 30 classical guitarists on because classical guitarists blow away anyone in metal or rock so if u dont agree make your own list

  • and kirk??............FUQ YOU!!! lml

  • Incomplete list.Lots of great guys who could have been left out,and must haves only in honorable mentions...

  • Gilmour is the best, because he makes me come confortably numbs, and the others one, just me dance or shake legs, no more.

  • I would love it if angus is on the first place

  • 1.jimi hendrix

    2.eric clapton

    3.jimmy page

    4.david gilmour

    5.ritchie blackmore

    6.brian may

    7.santana

    8.bb king

    9.slash

    10.mark knofler

  • gary moore ????

  • Shredding bores me to tears.

  • @Philtration Bweah, good shredders can really make you cry of sheer happiness...

  • @Videostar1another1fa If you are 15 years old.

  • @Philtration Age doesn't matter.And I'm not 15 yet anyway.

  • Blues

  • And Chet Atkins

  • Neil Young??????

    Richard Thompson?????

    Peter Green?????

    Maybelle Carter????

  • 1. Hendrix.

    2. Page.

    3. Blackmore.

    4. BB

    5. Clapton

    6. Gilmour

    7. Frusciante

    8. eddie Hazel etc etc etc

  • you missed off the devil - you've got 666 dislikes

  • It was just me, or maybe did you choose mainly "fast fingers"?

  • what´s about my guitar teacher??xD

  • This list missed three of the most influential guitarists of all time - Duane Eddy , Hank Marvin and Mark Knopfler.

  • This "rating" is a joke, right?

  • Comment removed

  • eric chaplen looks like hes jerkin it

  • y does mick mars always get slided?

  • Prince.

  • You should give a listen to any of Jack White's music and reconsider.

  • nobody can do What Angus young can do...and it still sound golden..just sayin

  • @stillatthefarm yeah he's the best

  • Comment removed

  • Did not see Jose Feliciano there.

  • You can't have Yngwie without Randy rhoads,

  • @kokkinotskoufitsa3 He has a great technique and has his own style.

  • Slash # 9 buahahaha is a number ONE

  • you also forgot The Edge from U2

  • mark knophler

  • you missed a couple: Tomi Iommi, Randy Rhoads, Michaelo Angelo, Dimebag Darrell, Kirk Hammet, Dave Mustaine, Buckethead.... and so on

  • I agree if you talk about creating something new... Only change is that I would throw slash in a trashbin and put there Ritchie.... If you talk about best guitarists of all time I don't agree at all then I would put there Michael Romeo, Alexi Laiho, Dimebag Darrell, Zakk Wylde, Randy Rhoads and dudes like that.... And you spelled Alexi wrong, it's not Alexis.

  • @Mikael45831 why the hell laiho?

  • needs shawn lane, guthrie govan, and jason becker

  • I was this good at guitar then i took and arrow to the knee

  • bonomassa

  • AND WHERE IS PACO DE LUCIA ?????? HE IS THE NUMBER 0

  • I saw alot more skill lower on the list.

  • No Arthur "Blind" Blake? No Keith Richards? The duo of Keith and Mick Taylor was sublime. Also, not to acknowledge the influence Johnny Thunders had on the next generation is pure ignorance.

  • Where is Redd Volkaert or Bill Kirchen on this list? Did I just miss them? Agree with others that Jean Baptiste "Django" Reinhardt should of been closer to the top.

  • F A I L !

  • Why do you compare an elephant with a mouse ?

Classical guitarist is always at higher level than Rock & roll guitarist because it 's hard to study .( Top R&R guitar at difficulty level 5 ,top classical guitar at difficulty level 12 , in general )

Can you tell Eric Clapton play Bach 2 part invention on his guitar , please ?

  • @huynhminhtri harder doesn't mean on a higher level dude, some of the hardest songs in the world can never touch me in the same way that, well Greg Howe jamming on Sunny could

  • No you can't, but many metal guitarists surely can play classical music (not the way they are played by classical players, though). Check out some Yngwie Malmsteen's stuff, pure neoclassical metal.

  • jeees, how many over-ridded strats / les pauls can one man take ??

How about something different. . .No Richard Thompson, Wes Montgomery, Charlie Christian, Tommy Emmanuel , Chet ?

  • @PaulHankTed I think the list was specifically on those who held the most influence. Sure John Frusciante isn't even close to the best guitarist out there, but he is really good and influenced just about every teenager in the 90s to stop playing grunge tunes and actually play their guitar. Chet and Wes(don't know or really listen to the others) are amazing musicians, but their influence didn't reach very far outside of the genres they played.

  • bullshit

  • muito barulho e nada de musica....vi ate o 23 e vazei.

  • Jimi Hendrix is good, not the best. Honestly, I think at least Mark Knopfler Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton are above Jimmy.

  • @fpereira77 I agree with this, I don't care how good he is... truthfully I think a lot of his stuff just sounds like him banging on his guitar in a complicated way.

  • @fpereira77 well you are very wrong, nobody should be above Jimi.

  • @hesmon the man's a myth. "Jimmy is the best" is the most standardized answer to any question in the music world. It's like someone told that to his family at the day of his funeral, in order to confort them, and it sticked.

Nobody shhould be above jimmy is the greatest joke in the music world

  • @fpereira77 Nobody should be above jimmy is the greatest joke in the music world. Agreed when you say Jimmy, you mean Jimmy Page. It's not a joke about Jimi Hendrix.

  • @hesmon There is nothing wrong with Jimmy or Jimi. Both were great. I personally believe that neither of them are the all time best. For me I would have to say it is Django Reinhardt.

  • @guitarzilla100 Well in the end it's just about preference There are so many greats but to me Jimi made the best music and was so unique. If you purely look at technique, then I think Shawn Lane takes the cake but also Django, Tommy Emmanuel, Guthrie govan, etcetera etcetera. Ik just prefer Jimi. Because I have been such a long time fan, I can be a bit defensive when someone criticizes him.

  • 13 is the best no matter what

  • Grats, best Compilation on the tube. Did I or did you miss Blackmore and Knopfer?

  • what frank zappa song is it??

  • 22 and 12 should have been higher.

    MUCH higher.

  • Jimmy Hendrix said once in an interview that Jeff Beck was his favorite guitarist..Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page have also both said that they think Jeff Beck is the best guitarist alive today. Jeff Beck has played with Hendrix,Page,Clapton and SRV, He is unducted into the rock and roll hall of fame...Jeff Beck isn't even top 5 here. are you freaking retarded or have you never heard a guitar sing before??? WTF! P.S obviously people will have different views on places, but this is inexcusable..

  • I loce Chuk Berry

  • It's a good list, if you don't like it make your own bastards.

  • Tommy Bolin? Rory Gallagher? HellO?

  • I am sorry, this list does not include Chet Atkins--are you kidding me!! And Les Paul is 23!! And Chuck Berry is 15!! And don't you think Keith Richards ought to be in there somewhere??? And if you would really like to see a guitar player, check out Jerry Reed doing The City of New Orleans. It is simply the greatest.

  • I am sorry, this list does not include Chet Atkins--are you kidding me!! And Les Paul is 23!! And Chuck Berry is 15!! And don't you think Keith Richards ought to be in there somewhere???

  • hands down #1 is Jimmy Page. Hendrix is right there but nobody has more versatility and style than Page. He can play any style better than anyone else. To me that's what makes him the best.

  • No mark knopfler no kirk hammett , keith richards, what the fuck this list is kinda shit

  • Nice to see someone include Brian May for a change - he seems to get overlooked to often. There have been way too many great players to fit into a list like this. Segovia, Leo Kottke, Wes Montgomery, Charlie Christian, Richard Thompson, Steve Cropper. Jerry Douglas is awesome on the dobro.

  • Hendrix #1 Rolling Stone Magazine....again

  • George Harrison? OMG !!!

  • ok this is just my opinion but WHERE THE FUCK IS MICK TOHMPSON AND JIM ROOT

  • Where the fuck is Mark Knopfler!? And Mike Oldfield?!? ò.ó

  • I had to go through this really fast because there is no rational thought going on here. Did I MISS John McLaughlin amongst all of those shirtless losers of this mess?

  • Comment removed

  • slash and John frusciante really???

  • The only reason you admire Hendrix is because he was different from the crowd.

  • if theres no randy rhoads on the list u might youst put justin biber on this gay list!

  • Jimi of course..

  • All good guitar players you forgot Tom morello!

  • @cyrustom No Johnny Winter? No Shuggie Otis? No Mick Taylor? Bogus!

  • What a load of rubbish. There are only 2 guitar originals. Charlie Christian (not even on the list here) and Jimi Hendrix. As Herb Ellis once said "everyone else only wishes they could play like one or the other. I'm a Christian man myself."

  • Les Paul should be number 1. Without him there wouldn't be a number 2.

  • PAGE IS NUMBER 2??!?!?!? DA FUCK?!?!?!

  • @TheCherryCola97 no one beats jimi hendrex

  • Why is Hendrix first? I hate that people think Hendrix was, "The best." Hendrix was good don't get me wrong. The man had soul, but to put him number one? No sir.

  • completely wrong!!! peter green wasnt even in the list. nor tommy emanuel n jeff beck was way down n so was robert johnson, u aint gotta clue m8 sorry

  • ha ha ha, starts with paul gilbert. guess i can stop there.

  • Jimmy Page!

  • You have Eric Clapton, but not John Mayer, Synyster Gates, Tom Morello or Zachy?... Duuude. And why is Jimi always nr. 1? He was the guitar god BACK THEN! He redefined guitar, but that doesn't automaticly make him any better than some of the guys in your vid.

  • you need more pioneer guitarist on this list .. thats where randy rhoads and morrello come in

  • les paul should be # 1!!!

  • where's rory gallagher?

  • #1 SHOULD BE SYNYSTER GATES

  • @killianshows Not even close man. He doesn't deserve to be in the top 100, let alone be even close to number one. I am not saying he sucks, but he is so far from being the best.

  • @guitarzilla100 dude you dont know a real guitarist if one beat your @#$

  • @killianshows Well, tell me his qualifications. I say that he has brought little to nothing new to guitar playing. Just the same old stuff. He hasn't revolutionized anything. Nor has he really majorly improved on any existing styles. He is good but far from the best. Just because you worship the guy doesn't mean he is the greatist guitarist alive fool. This is not an argument you can win, your musical knowledge is miniscule in comparison to mine. Do you know anything but metal and rock?

  • @guitarzilla100 I tell you something, jimi hendrix started playing guitar with bands 1964 (round about) now tell me a band which played their songs so awesome like Jimi played his songs???

And don´t say "THE ROLLING STONES"!

They don´t play bad, but they didn´t freaked out like jimi did it.

=> without jimi, metal and rock, wouldn´t exist!! (I say this)

  • @Zeitboss and without metal, it would be bad (I SAY THIS) DAMN

  • @Zeitboss I wouldn't say that without Jimi, they wouldn't exist. Rock was well on it's way before Jimi. And metal would have grown out of it eventually with the progress Cream and Led Zeppelin (and many other bands) were making. However Jimi was very influencial. That is not disputable. And he was a great guitarist. I believe he played with rock n roll legend Little Richard, no? Many bands play their songs that well. Ritchie Havens, Louis Armstrong, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Chet Atkins to name a few

  • 5:49 heck YEAH

  • Where's Mike Bloomfield?

  • Hm
