@gottifam951 This kit was available as the HPF package. The kit is called the 2004-2005 Aero Kit. You can get it from a Honda Dealer or H&A Accessories.
hahhah keep tuning? dude my dad has a four door sedan si nd has a turbo from ajp nd in about and hour they put 427 hp in it so if its taken u that long, keep learn
@jsphschneider664 Warren the former owner of Midnight Performance had build this custom kit GT35R kit... He routed my fuel line and engine harness right next to the down pipe. I had to route the fuel line away from the down pipe because it had busted and leaked fuel all over. Had another shop look at it and it sat there for six months. I had the car towed back and I checked the harness and sure enough it was all burned up next to the down pipe. I'm in the process of wire tucking a one.
ok so i have a friend with this model of civic, only that he still has the D17 nonvtec engine. My only question is does the D17 non vtec have power potential?...ppl tell it sux, and it doesnt hav power potential, and that it wasnt made for performance, all u will find for parts are exhaust and maybe headers...Is this true?..i allways suggested he do the swap for a k series, but dumass doesnt listen. pls tel me.
@joeaccord23 When this gen of Civic first came out yes all they had was bolt-ons. With headers, intake and exhaust you would yield an extra 3 whp. They have turbo kits for the D17 now. The only way to get power out of a D17 is with boost. I have read some guys get around 250 whp with thier boosted D17. What ever boost you put through a D17 a K-Series will do better more efficiently though.
@DizNBoiAz The rear lip is OEM. It comes with the Aero Kit that Honda made for 2004-2005 Civic Coupe. You can get them from H & A Accessories. You can just buy the rear lip if you want from them.
It's there but the video is not picking it up. I have some pics on honda-tech if you want to get a better look at the car. I would post links but YouTube blocks them. Searching under rlmedin1 should pull them up under Honda-Tech.
@diddy150 Aftermarket doesn't support b18 swap with aftermarket parts. It would take a lot of custom work and time. If you have a shop do it, it would cost a lot more than a k swap would.
My car has been in the shop getting the chain tensioner, timing chain and VTC cam gear replaced. When the car gets out of the shop I'll post some new vids of the car on the track.
Thanks thehahnman05! Yes if you add an RSX Motor to your 05 Civic EX you can do the same. Our Civics are the same. You just have more goodies that came with your car like sunroof, cruise control ect. My Civic is just a bottom of the line civic value package. The only thing my Civic came with is Air Conditioning and factory Radio/CD Player.
Thanks melvneo! The trunk ran about $500. As far as the exhaust I couldn't tell you because I never ran aftermarket exhaust until I added a turbo on my car. When my 3 inch Thermal RSX Exhaust was new It was quite only because my car had a turbo on it. That same exhaust without turbo will be loud.
Thanks...I have been around but just haven't been driving the Civic lately. I have to take the car in the shop to have the VTC gear changed. It has not been able to hold an idle lately and running very rich. Let me know when you guys are having another meet.
If your trying to ref your car in Cali with the 2002-2004 K20 it will fail visual inspection. That's the disadvantage of having the 05 model we need the 2005-2006 K20z1 to pass visual inspection.
I lived in California and I drive an 04 em2.. I'm thinking of swapping a K20a2 engine in mine.. is it legal? Some people say it's legal but now you guy say it's illegal..
If the K-Series RSX motor is the same year or newer you can make the swap legal. I couldn't use the K20a2 because the newest motor would be from an 2004 RSX and I have a 2005 em2. In your case since you have a 2004 em2 you can use a 2004 RSX K20a2.
Thank you gowdaflow! Yes it now has 407 whp. I took it to Sacramento Raceway a few weeks ago and ran a 13.2 quarter mile at 117 mph on those street tires. Hopefully next time I can get some vids up. I also want to see what this car can do with some slicks.
very nice, i used have a em2 mugen had the factory d17 with a garret t3/t4 turbo. love youur car man keep up the good work and keep it clean and jdm.

how come some people say its not worth tuning an em2
stewy098 1 year ago
@stewy098 Because the stock D17 motor doesn't respond well to mods like a k-series engine unless you boost.

@aznrice402 Not yet. I'm going to build up the block to handle more boost first and then cams. I'm still running stock k20z1 block.

love the car...is that the stock spoiler? where did you get it if it isn't?
Anarchist87 1 year ago
@Anarchist87 Thanks! Yes it's a stock spoiler. It's just painted black in the middle to match the carbon fiber trunk.
rlmedin1 1 year ago
@rlmedin1 i see...but doesn't it have the light?
Anarchist87 1 year ago
@Anarchist87 Yes. the spoiler still has the stock brake light. The video just didn't pick it up well.

diddy150 1 year ago
Thanks diddy150! No wide body kit... Just a lip kit. The passenger side door was slightly open because of the cables during the run.
rlmedin1 1 year ago
can you tell me what kind of rear bumper is that,or is a lip ...by the way your car look great
22ohsp 2 years ago
Thanks...It's the rear lip of the OEM Aero Lip Kit. I purchased it from H and A Accessories.
rlmedin1 2 years ago
Whoa... Where did you get the spoiler?
TakayaFreeman 2 years ago
It's a stock spoiler for that car. I just painted it black in the center to match the carbon fiber trunk.
rlmedin1 2 years ago
Awesome. That's what I was thinking of doing for my stock spoiler. I just wasn't sure if it'd match with the carbon fiber coloring.

that thing's definitely faster than 13.2 lol..
