  • I got a DR880. My question is, how would you program something like Wipeout into one of the user patches?

  • this looks like the 1980s, awsome

  • check out a song called "Decimator" on my channel to hear the DR 880 in a full heavy rock song mix.

  • this is crap, mine broke down after only a few months of light use. AVOID!!!

  • Does this have a setting on it so I can literally write a song? In other words, if I wanted to start with a slow intro (Metallica's "Battery," for example...) and build into something fast, can I do that, or would I have to push buttons before the drum beat would change?

  • I guess I can edit a user kit and customize all the drums and stuff?

  • Interested on buying this drum machine BUT it's an old model ('04) any new model coming from Roland/Boss?

  • dont know about the drum machine but that shirt is dope ! want one NOW !

  • Is this any good for drum and bass - heavy metal music?

  • 95bpm? WTF?

  • This guy is the best with explaining how to use gear....I got like 10 DVD's Tascam and Roland!!!!

  • Is this guy an Aussie?

  • @ragnatoad YES

  • alguien me ayda en castellano please como conectar via midi a un korg electribe

  • Does anybody can tell me is that possible to edit/change the bass part in the present patterns and save as the user pattern/song?

  • @TheMsGosc u can

  • it's been great to watch ur video and helps a lot. i got

1 of this but the only thing im tyrin to find out (until now) is with regards of fills. can i have it connected to my footswitch for on and of? as if i wanted to put fills in the middle of song that sometime requires. (for i dont have to record a long pattern at all). please help.

  • cant get any tutorials here in UK

where can I get a dvd of the tutorial I have a DR 880 hiched uo to midi but would love to be able to use it to programme bass and drums on.

  • I recently bought one of these for my BR-1200.

Im a twit with technology and cant figure how to hook the 2 up, so if any of you out there no... please share xD

  • i've got a similar machine and all i do is connect the drum machine with a jack to jack into the multi track guitar/bass input thingy.

  • how does this work with da sound do you plug it in or wat plzzzzzzzz answer fast

  • I have noticed that u get a clicking noise, at the beginning of a note, if the velocity is high enough on the bass line.

You can hear it in many of the preprogrammed bass lines even if u lower output levels. It's pretty disappointing.

I use it in all my videos if any want to have a listen

  • Thats a sexy shirt.

  • I use it for creating not storage. I've hadn't had any problems.

I create & record on my PC then next.

I really like the bass, because although I have a bass guitar, I always just use the 880 for bass track since it's so accurate and sounds perfectly real.

  • I own one. Best Drum Machine ever. If you look at my other videos, I have a short 1 minute demonstration for my band. I write all the drum riffs on the DR880 then hire a drummer to play it live.

  • Damnnn, i'm gonna look into picking up one of these!

  • dude... i just got mine from a pawnshop for $160 this thing is so sick....thank u for this...i have no manual...this is all i needed help on....

  • i got mind today im so so happy

  • haha, you can change the snare sound if you tweak up the damn snare pad in EDITING. DUH.

    this beat machine is SICK!

    you haven't heard anything, yet.

its HIp HOp, Trance, House and Electro kicks are off the chains..

im difinitely taking this into Fruity Loops 8 XXL Producers Edtion for a spin :p

IT is MIDI MACHINE CONTROL , so that works with FL 8 !! hahahaha

  • so it's good for this oldschool 80's TR 808 beat ?

  • well, if you luv the TR808 beats you can get into the FL8 scene and let it rip!

this drum machine has its own kickass kicks to deal with

its great for hip-hop, funk and old school style beats. period.

  • spark1dark1:

They WANT you to buy it...and rightly so. Just do it if you haven't already, then you won't have that annoying display on the bottom of the screen.

Sometimes you just gotta pay. I own this video, and let me say it's a good one. There's more to this machine than he shows you, but the essentials are well described on the DVD. You'll be up and running in minutes!

  • how did i end up here from oranges

    ?

  • Nice.

  • This machine can be used with drum triggers right??

  • I bought the video/ up and running in one day/What a machine/

  • Man i got this last night and started reading the book on my way home. It doesn't even come close to explaining all the features included. I'm probally gonna need about 10 more videos like this..haha

  • this guy is a legend!

  • do this vid again without the annoying blue thingy at the bottom of the screen. please...cant see the bottom of the machine.

  • It's called adverstising you moron.

  • ¿Alguien sabe explicarme algo de la dr880 en español?

    Lo agradecería
